With that, Dream plops himself into a chair and pulls out a notebook, in which he begins to write. He's there if students need him, but no one could describe him as overly attentive.

Lily smiles back. "Hi! I didn't expect to see you today."

"Yeah, I decided to be social. I've got two club meetings tonight one right after the other. I'm supposed to teach some people how to fly a broom, which should be interesting."

"That does sound interesting; I've got class until nine." Lily makes a face. "Bleh. Tuesdays get longer every week, I swear!" Her voice takes on a note of concern, "How have you been?"

"This whole Parent's Weekend thing has gotten me stressed out. I don't know why, it's just my mother. And Potter isn't making things easier for me, the git."

"We got along just fine without Parents Weekend at Hogwarts - It just seems like a lot of added bother, really." Lily sighs. "Besides, I don't even know if my parents are still around in this time... I've just been avoiding the whole time-travel issue in favor o keeping my sanity a bit longer!"

She smiles sympathetically. "Potters never do, you know. What was it this time?"

"That whole time travel thing must be rough. I can't blame you for just trying to live in the now. Even though the now really isn't the safest place to be. And as for Potter..."

Draco shakes his head.

"Just being the normal show off he always is. He's helping me teach the flying club tonight. I'm sure that will be just peachy."

That's okay, I was going to be violently murdered sometime in the next 4 years, anyway.

"Rough... yeah. That sounds like trademark Potter. You'll just have to be the better man, and try not to let him get to you. I'm sorry I can't make it - I would have come for moral support, you know."

"Well, it might be for the best that you can't make it. I'll try to be the better person but I make no guarantees. I have a special hate I save just for Potter and I'd hate for you to see it."

Lily is worried by the tension she feels now. She reaches out to touch his arm and speaks a little too cheerfully, trying to smooth things over. "Hey, you have to be around him tonight, but he's not here now so don't let him ruin any more of your time!"

Draco puts his hand on Lily's.

"You're right. He did suggest I dyed my hair. How dare he!" Draco says with mock indignance.

Lily laughs. "The nerve! How dare he disgrace your honor in such a fashion?"

She looks at his hand on hers. "Where are we going tomorrow?"

"I think it's time I drag you down with me in the coffee addiction. So I was thinking we could go to the Perkolator."

With mock distress, Lily says, "Mr. Malfoy, I do believe you're going to be a bad influence on me." She smiles. "I've heard good things about the Perkolator - I'm looking forward to that."

Han wanders in just in time to overhear this last.

"Brooms. We're flying brooms this week? That's different. As if I needed more different."


He takes a seat and waits for a chance to talk to Marty.

"Not too bad." He nods at Shep's leg. "What'd you do to yourself? Fall out of bed?"
