Classical Genre [Tuesday, 1st Period]

"Good morning class," Rick chirped at his students. "I hope you all enjoyed the holiday weekend, I know I did." So much so, he'd forgotten to write a lecture. Bad Rick.

"Now, the topic of the day is romantic films, and who doesn't love a good romance? The thrills, the tension, highly attractive actors with mad chemistry. It's a great way to kill a few hours."

"Which as you recall was your homework for the week, so I want you all to tell the class what film you watched and if there was any swoonnage involved. Then we'll all settle in to watch one of the greatest romantic films of all time, Thiefcatcher by Alfred Hitchcock."

Rick had great taste in romantic films, he was awesome like that.

[OOC: OCD up.]

"I saw meta forCasablanca," Dinah said, smiling. "And there was a lot of swoonage. Even though Humphrey Bogart is way older and all, it was still awesome. And Ingrid Bergman was *gorgeous* through the whole thing." And it kind of tied into her WWII class too. "The lead character was just so cool and cynical and then awesome... anyway. Plus the side characters were fun, that always helps."

"I saw Alligator Brundee." Robin said. "It was as much a comedy or adventure film as a romance, but it was very sweet. Even if the title didn't make much sense since Gators don't live in Australia."

He'd also seen a movie he had to tell his roommate about, China Town Trouble. He thought Jack would love it.

"I watched this movie called The Elegant Bird (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0049815/) about a princess who was pressured to marry a prince even though she was falling in love with her tutor," said Harper. "It had a kind of funny ending, but it was still really good."

Yaaaay, Hitchcock. Why couldn't thieves in Gotham be this classy? Aside from Helena's mom. Then again, she'd have to worry about arresting them if they wer as cool as Cary Grant.

Harper had seen the movie before, but she could enjoy it again. It was one of her favorites.
