Swordplay - 3rd Period - 10/29

"Well," Deadpool said, pacing about the danger shop. "I was gonna have a real class for ya'll with the seriousness and talking about danger and blah blah blah. But you know what? It's Halloween Week. Halloween, people. I want funsies with candy."

Yeah, this can only end well.

"So, today you'll all be learning the very important skill of fighting a non-human opponent. I was gonna do aliens and dinosaurs and cool shit like that, but instead you all get beloved mascots of delicious treats. If you win, you can feast on their delicious nougaty centers of their souls. If you lose... well, let's just say the black market for kidneys is good business."

Zack was having a difficult time figuring out which of the creature things to go up against, and so he decided to pick one that looked, even remotely, like something from back home.

... The owl could kind of be like a Zuu, if you squinted and tilted your head to the side a little, and tried not to compare too closely. Though Zack had his doubts that he was even going to have to activate combat mode on this one.

Illyria had no problem eating things that looked at her. She did, however, have a problem fighting things that couldn't fight back. Not a moral problem; it would just be boring.

So she tossed them swords.

Yellow was surprisingly good at lunges.

Mat wondered for just a second how a horse-looking thing would even hold a weapon, then decided that he didn't really care that much.
