Sex Ed [Monday, Period Five]

There were neither handouts, props, nor a television set in evidence as the class entered the classroom today. Or any furniture except for Bond's desk for that matter. However there were several sheaves of butcher's paper laid out on the floor, as well as permanent markers in a wide array of colours.

"Good afternoon, class. I trust you all enjoyed your break," Bond said, before gesturing around the classroom. "As you can see, we're going to be doing something a bit different today. Consider it something of a mid-term, although it won't be marked like one."

He paused before continuing. "In sex, and a great many other things in life, sometimes the only thing worse than a lack of information is the possession of misinformation. And by virtue of the fact that in many cultures sex is often one of the great taboos, misinformation on the subject abounds. From the merely absurd to the downright dangerous there are a great many myths and misconceptions about sex. Which is what today's exercise is going to be about.

"Working alone, in a pair, or a small group, I'd like you to brainstorm as many 'facts' about sex that you can think of. I'm talking about the kind of things that 'everyone knows' but can't explain where the knowledge came from, or the things you've heard from your peers who heard from their peers who heard it from, well, you get the idea," he said. "Afterwards, each of you will present one of these facts to the class, and you'll discuss it and try to come to a consensus on whether it is actually true or not. Then at the start of next week's class, I'll tell you if, to best of my knowledge, you're right."

Bond clapped his hands together cheerfully. "Let's get started then."

[ooc: wait for ocd up.]
