Student Council | Friday Afternoon

"All right, settled down," no, he didn't care if they were settled already. "The Fridays got all messed up with Parents' Weekend and Fall Break and Homecoming, so I've gathered you all together this particular Friday to nail down some details." A pause.

"Or just to discuss how to best facilitate nailing during the Homecoming dance." Whichever.

"So, short people and Sam, Parents' Weekend was a big hit and I'd congratulate you and buy a round of drinks, but we've got thematic work to do!"

"The most recent past homecomings have been old school Hollywood, Fandom weirdnesses, and Westerns, so those are all out," Sam said, not at all bothered by being called out as the tall one by this point. Okay, not bothered much. "Homecoming's a lot closer to Halloween this year. Something related to that might be an option."

"Do we still have the skeleton decorations from prom two years ago?" Jenny wondered. "Stuffed in a closet or under the stage in the auditorium or something? We could always repurpose those." It wasn't being lazy, it was being frugal. Or something like that.

"And maybe something with black glitter?" Jean, lay off the damn glitter.

"...You do know the glitter doesn't really work, right?"

"...work on what?" Hey, it got her elected. Sure, there weren't any other takers on the job, but it's still there. Gettin' her elected.

"...never mind." If she didn't know, Jenny wasn't about to tell her. It would spoil the fun.

"We probably do," Sam said. "But now that George has mentioned it, I kind of like the harvest festival idea even more. Unless we want to combine them. The skeletons could be the people who failed at harvesting for the winter."

"Somethin' like a harvest festival p'haps?" George suggested. "If ye do that here. Wit' apples and pumpkins and th' like."

"That's an even better idea," Sam said. "Or a different take on it."

"We could do a haunted house thing," Jennifer suggested. "Maybe take a few tricks from that Disneyland ride."
likethegun: (i'm just ridiculously hot)

Sam had spent way too long fighting ghosts to think of haunted houses as anything but Serious Business, but he knew that it was still a fun concept to some people. "We could. It might not scare people here but it could be fun."

"Yeah, I was thinking more on the fun end, than the scary end," Jennifer said. "Nothing bloody. Just... fun spooky."
