Oceanography [Thursday, Week 5, Period Five]

Summer had her laptop set up in the front of the classroom, with a few of images projected onto the whiteboard. "Hi everyone," she offered them a bright smile before continuing. "My apologies for being absent last class. Apparently, Fandom thought it funny to turn me into a small animal for the duration of last week. Thanks to Cal for keeping the class going in my absence."

Shaking her head and laughing a bit, Summer gestured to the board. "Today's topic is deep sea exploration. Part of the reason why I had you watch that movie last week. I conducted research expeditions in various oceans through out the world, before coming to teach here," she added, thinking of her dad and brother. "It's fun and highly dangerous, even for skilled and experienced divers. Trust me, I'd know."

Summer wasn't going to elaborate on that, just yet. Going into a bit of background on NUMA, she decided to share some examples of discoveries. "I've been lucky enough to discover underwater sea caverns -- and some have been filled with lost treasure, lost settlements, and what were thought to be lost ship wrecks."

Summer grinned. "If you were to go on a deep sea expedition, what would you hope to find? A wreck, treasure, ancient settlements? Anything you can think of, really. You can be as general or specific as you like. And I'll see if I can think of one of my finds to match it."

[OOC: Wait for the OCD is ready for its dive!]

"Ancient settlements," Joolushko said. "Though the others would be acceptable if somewhat less satisfying."

My girl is there! But her hair is short, which continues to be Wrong. And also I haven't actually watched it yet because TV requires unchaining myself from my computer.
