There were benefits to having been here a long time, and one of those benefits was an utter lack of surprise to wake up and find yourself looking a little different and with all the wrong parts. In fact, Turtle considered herself such an erudite Fandomite that she, upon waking and finding herself a cute floppy haired boy again, found that the timing was excellent, as this would make for an interesting spin on the Alpha Beta Gremlin meeting.

Assuming enough of the girls weren't too busy freaking out, anyway.

"Hey, guys," she said, letting the obvious irony lace the the word. "Hopefully, by this late in the day, you've realized that we're not quite ourselves. This makes a meeting on sisterhood kind of ironic. So, instead of using the meeting today for sisterly business, I thought we'd take the opportunity to embrace our current forms and take a peek into fraternity life, instead. So I've got pizza, root beer,"--it was a school club, guys, "--Cheetos, footballs, some sports game on the TiVo. I encourage you to belch, scratch, and talk about...I don't know, girls or something. Basically, today, we're just going to be men, so that we can better appreciate how much better it is being women."

"Oh, there was a boy in the dorm lobby!" Hayley said. "He was real helpful."

"I suppose it helps this has happened before," she moved her arms, "Still, I feel like moving in this body is so clunky."

She wasn't really. She was just being dramatic. Something that seemed to have carried over from being in a Zuko-like body.

"And normally you're so graceful," Hayley agreed.

"Yes! I'm normally so graceful!" She settled into her chair. "I'm also used to being very flexible, I feel limited in this body."

"Really, really flexible," Hayley said with a little wistful sigh.

Azula looked at Hayley oddly for a second then shook it off, "Tell me about your week."

Because the less focus on her life and the insanities inherent within it was better any day.

"What do you want to know?" Hayley said. For some reason, she didn't want to talk about Cal.

"You tell me," she reminded. "I want to know what's happening when I'm not around."

"Oh, well, I've not been doing much," Hayley said. "I was doing those exercises you told me! I've been doing that."

"That's good, practice is always important." She said, "Have you bought anything from this era? I bought myself a computer. I find it utterly fascinating."

Hayley shook her head. "I don't really have spare money," she admitted.

"Oh?" She cocked her head to the side. "How so?"

"Well, it's not like I have a job or anything," Hayley said.

"You're not getting an allowance?" She questioned.

Hayley shook her head. "Guess the GCPD don't think I need one."

"Harsh,' she said. It was fortunate for her that Zuko decided she could keep her own fortunes.

"Well, I'm used to it," Hayley said. "Never was rich or nothing."

"My friend was in the circus," she said suddenly.

Even Azula wondered at her rndom subject change. Possibly because she was getting bored with the topic. What was so interesting about being without money?

"Oooh, were they a clown?" Hayley asked, excited.

"No," she looked at Hayley strangely again, "she was an acrobat, a particularly skilled one at that. She's almost better than I am."

That would be the highest accolade Azula could ever give.

"Wow," Hayley said. "They must have been really really good, then."

"She is," Azula said. And she would have been the perfect friend if she weren't a traitor.

"I always thought about joining a circus," Hayley said. "I'd be a clown, though."

"What is the appeal of joining the circus?" She demanded, "You're the second person to voice it and the first person I know who said that actually joined the circus."
