Dinah wasn't typing away phrases this time. She was surfing the 'net. And looking for free downloads and music. And trying to think of anything else to show Jak that she hadn't already.

Sixteen, Jak said, smiling and putting a hand on his hip as the words appeared on the screen. I'm not sure yet. They told me I had potential. Guess I'll see.

"Cooooooool." Dinah grinned at him and the pose, then said, "What else have people been asking you?"

You don't have Eco here. Which sucks.

And what've you been up to? Getting along with Jono? And to keep the words 'meet any girls?' from spilling out of her mouth, Dinah said aloud, "We could get lunch after this."

Jono needs to get over the window thing.

Because seriously, man. It had just been a window. Jak would've been fine if Jono hadn't chosen to throw himself at his path, dammit. He was kind of nodding again, though, at the lunch part, because. By the Precursors. He was hungry.

Dinah looked over at Jak, wide-eyed, total curiosity projected like a wave, then started laughing aloud as she got the details through the link, images of them both falling out of the tree, and Jono's complete panic and Jak's answering exasperation. Oh. My. God. Why do I always miss this stuff?! And also, in and above and through that: Why didn't I think of that? Cool!

It's not like the tree was that far from the window, Jak whined argued, rubbing the back of his head while his eyes searched the screen in an attempt to remember that whole printing thing.

Still giggling, Dinah sent back, Silly Jono. Awww. and grinned at the computer screen. "That good? Anything more?"

Jak shook his head. Again, nothing he could think of.

Well, except his stomach rumbling. Loudly.

"Food good," Dinah decided, and hit print, then leaned back and stretched. "Luke's?" She brushed her hand across his, and sent, My buddy Priestly's there today. He's a good cook.
