Young Entrepreneurs;Tuesday After Classes [ 09/08 ].

Everything was all set up and waiting in the classroom. Desks pushed together to form one large table. "YOUNG ENTREPRENEURS: Tomorrow's Successes Today!" written up on the board. Coffee and doughnuts (lots of sugar and cream for the former). No pie. Turtle had considered bringing one, but it just wouldn't be the same if it wasn't one of Ned's pie. That was just a little too sad to think about, really. So just the coffee and doughnuts, and maybe they'd luck out with another culinary entrepreneur on their hands this semester.

There were also a lot of blank business cards waiting at each seat, and stations of various art supplies: crayons, colored pencils, pens, markers, stencils, stickers, glitter (duh). You name it, it was probably there.

"Hello!" Turtle greeted the group. "Welcome to Young Entrepreneurs, the club to be in for all sorts of channels to be better at business! My name is Turtle Wexler, and I started this club a little while ago as an outlet for networking and improvement. I'm actually the co-owner of the Turtle & Canary story in the village, and have been for a while now, so I'm not just bragging when I say I've got a lot of business know-how. I've got the cred to back it up. Mostly, in this club, we'll go through some effective business strategies, as well as eventually make a product to sell to the community and make a small profit for ourselves, hopefully! But we'll get to that in a future meeting. For today, we're going to do what you hopefully didn't burn yourself out on last week: introductions!"

"But," Turtle grinned, reaching for a card, "we're going to do it business style! In another meeting, we'll make more professional cards, but, for today, we'll just make fun little business cards that are intended to tell everyone else who you are, what you do, and what you're all about. So we'll take a few minutes, put together a card, and then we'll get to know each other!"

There appeared to be plenty of art supplies, but Emma wasn't a very artistic sort. She grabbed a few pens with slightly shimmery ink and used them to doodle on a card idly, trying to think of something.

Jack had a calling card, with his full name and Sebastien's Baltimore address, but he suspected Turtle wanted something different.

Of course, he wasn't quite sure what that should be. But in the end, the neat black cursive on his card read:

Hmm. Mirax didn't think anything she did was something she could advertise with business cards, but that didn't mean she coouldn't at least play around with designs anyway.

Jack took a coffee, but he didn't seem inclined to linger long -- he had tryouts at the Boards to get to. Still, he looked pleasant enough.

...he wanted coffee.
