The Club Fair - Gym - Friday Afternoon

Today was the day of the club fair! Wasn't it just so exciting?!

Jean was totally excited.

So excited, in fact, that she showed up early to find it just as everything was being set up like the little overachiever she was. Maybe she'd be able to swing voters here!

Oh look! The club schedule! This was going to be so great, right everyone?!

"Oh, no. No, I couldn't do something like that," she insisted. And meanwhile, Eleanor was wondering just when and how she'd been sucked into this.

"Hey, no problem." His smile suddenly dropped a bit as he got that look that cartoon characters get as that light bulb goes off over their heads.

"Unless you want to be the president of the club?" Sucked in like a KrazyGlue whirlpool with a squid-y thing inside.

"That honor should certainly remain with you," she smiled and nodded. "It is your your idea after all. You should have the credit for that."

"Okay, that'll work. I'll be the prez and you can be the veepee. Uh, what day works best with you? And I'm thinking pasta, first meeting. It's simple, it's quick, and if you make it from scratch then it's all gourmet."

Notice the part where he's still insisting she's a part of this.

"Uhm... pasta is good. And um, um ... I'm free Mondays and Thursdays?"

...wait. Was she agreeing now? Oh my...

"Probably Monday, then, so we can start the week off right with food. Or would it be better to have it on Thursday, so there'll be leftovers for the weekend?" Jack held up his hands, weighing the options on the Burton Mental Food Scale.

...she was agreeing, looked like.

"Uhm, Thursday? I think I shall be busy ... studying Monday." Studying the how she got sucked into this mess.

"Thursday it is," he said with a grin. "Now, we just need to find a place. Common room?" She should study hard. There will be a quiz later.

"That ...will work fine."

"Excellent. So...we should set this up for this Thursday, then. Second Floor or use that new thing up on the Sixth? It's got a kitchen, right?" Really, all the floors kinda blended together after a while.

"I haven't been to the sixth floor yet. Maybe we should use that?"

"I think we should," he stated. "Maybe do a scouting thing first, just to see what's up there."

"I suppose we could. We'd likely be more prepared that way."

Prepared for what though?

"This is true. Don't want to be surprised by something halfway through, right?" Halfway through what, exactly?

"...yes. That is exactly it." Were they even talking about the same thing anymore?

"Great! I'll be up there on Tuesday or Wednesday, making sure that everything works. Gotta be prepared."

Because running a cooking club type thing involves logistics, lists, and backup.

"Good. That sounds like a plan. I'll see you Thursday then?"

"I'll see you Thursday, for sure. I'll try to get up there before then, though. I mean, we gotta have pans!"

Plans would be nice, too.
