The Club Fair - Gym - Friday Afternoon

Today was the day of the club fair! Wasn't it just so exciting?!

Jean was totally excited.

So excited, in fact, that she showed up early to find it just as everything was being set up like the little overachiever she was. Maybe she'd be able to swing voters here!

Oh look! The club schedule! This was going to be so great, right everyone?!

"Please, you act like I'm a hermit," he said, shaking his head. "I've been out and about a lot. You've been the one that I haven't seen. Taken up a hobby that keeps you in your room?"

"Actually, I've been off the island," he said, dryly. "Dealing with some matters in Tony Foster's and Lady Blysse's worlds. I'd ask you what you'd been up to, all out and about, but..." he gestured.

"Break week means I was relaxing, back to school weeks means I've been going back to school," he filled in. "And no, I haven't been off island, swinging my mighty sword and letting my ego inflate even more than it is."

Arthur rolled his eyes expressively. "If that's the best you've got," he prompted. "Looking to join the cheerleaders this term?"

"Already a member," he said easily, shrugging a shoulder. "You'd be amazed at all the pretty girls I get to see. No, I'm here for another reason."

He paused, grinned and really thought his choice here was excellent.

"And so are you."

"Why am I not surprised?"

Answer: because Hannibal was a total girl. Yes, he was.

Although that last statement made him lift his eyebrows, partly curious, partly ever so idly amused. "Am I, now?"

And Arthur had a big head. Yes, he did. Or maybe he didn't but there had to be some retaliation there.

"You are," he said, nodding knowingly. "Know what a fraternity is?"

"I was actually thinking about checking out the fencing booth," Arthur confided, stealing a glance past him towards King Edmund. "But I remember reading some notes about the fraternity last term. Bowling, was it?"

"That was one of the things we did," he said, nodding. "It's a bunch a guys who get together whenever they want, shoot the shit, eat food, do stuff, and I'm helping run it this time around."

Surely that was incentive enough for Arthur to jump at the chance, right? No? Pressing on, then!

"And I think you should help me too," he added, not even making it a question. "It'd be good for you."

Really? He had Arthur at 'shoot the shit'. So to speak. Colourful, that.

"Would it," he said, shooting Hannibal a look full of incredulous sarcasm. "I can hardly see you keeping any group of men together. I think we're lucky you left your frock at home this time." He reached to steal another chip. "But it's obvious that you need me."

"Oh, I need you terribly," he said, sarcasm evident in his tone even if he did want Arthur's help. His mind was already whirring with the possibilities now. "I might not have the experience keeping them together but you do. I've got other helpful experience. See, we complement each other!"

"Clearly," Arthur said, contemplatively. "For one, I don't have a drink, and you're standing right near them."

"Ask me nicely," Hannibal said, eyebrows going up, "and maybe I'll get one for you."

"Hannibal," Arthur said, kindly, really, "Would you be so kind as to get me a drink?"

Oh, everyone in that frat was going to be his bitch.

That frat was freaking doomed. Hannibal would have to run for his life. Still, since he'd actually gotten Arthur to ask nicely (in a sense), he reached for a drink and handed it to Arthur.

"There you go, one drink, all for you," he said. "Once you've finished with your drink, the table's over there. Since you're a co-leader now, you can help me out with questions and sign ups."

Co-leader, Arthur, co-leader. Hannibal was trying to make that clear even if he figured that would fall on deaf ears since Arthur was already planning for bitch statuses.

It depended on your definition of 'gotten to', really. As a prince, he was exceptionally good at getting what he wanted, which meant that even when he was asking nicely, it was mostly words and expecting to be bloody well obeyed.

Which had worked. Of course, part of that being-a-prince thing was not looking particularly moved - one way or another - by the fact that it had worked. So Arthur sipped his drink. "I'll see about the sign-ups myself," Arthur replied, happily ignoring the 'co-leader' bit. "Se you there in a minute."

"See you there," he said, resisting the urge to give Arthur a pat on the back (even if it'd be more of a 'let me help you stop choking' thwap more than anything) just to prove his friendliness before he grabbed a drink of his own and headed to the table.

Hey, if anything, the KKG table was bound and determined to give everyone who came by nice view.
