The class was a greeted by a man in bright red ~~pajamas~~ with a pair of swords strapped to his back. He would snuggle them like a security blanket, but that would totally ruin his street cred, yo. Playah haters gonna hate.

"Goooood morning boys and girls! Welcome to your very first ever, bestest, most awesome swordplay class. With me. Me, who makes it better than anything ever."

"So, you've done this in probably every class up until now and out of class and sometimes in your sleep. But we're gonna fall into the need for us all to get to know each other and blah, blah, blah... Names. Past experience with swords. Whether or not you enjoy watching So You Think You Can Dance or not. The last question is the most important, mind you. Without that, how will we know your deep, innermost thoughts?"

A beat.

"Oh right, and since this in Fandom and I'm sure you got 'em, any super special secret powers that will screw up how I pair you guys off for my own amusement," Deadpool added cheerfully. "I'll even go first. My name is Deadpool and I enjoy long walks on the beach, nights spent at home watching bad reality TV and Blues Clues. My favorite books are those Twilighty one. I mean, c'mon. Who doesn't wanna read about a Byronic douche woo a mentally unstable chick?"

"...Iiiii mean, Deadpool. I've been a mercenary longer than most of ya'll have been alive and if it can kill ya, I can use it. And how. I hate that show with a fiery passion and yet find myself unable to look away from the trainwreck. Aaaaand I have a healing factor that means if you accidentally or 'accidentally' hit me, I'll heal in a few minutes and smack ya back depending on my mood. I'm like a forest fire in the winds with my moods..."

He pointed at a student at random. "Your turn. Tell me everything, but only the stuff that'll be fun. I don't care about your deep emotional trauma or daddy issues."

Claire was just gonna sit here and wonder why she signed up for this class willingly.

Oh, right, because she wanted to learn how to swordfight. Oh boy.

Oh god. What has he gotten himself into?

"This is gonna be interesting," Claire whispered, leaning close so Riggins could hear her.

"This is gonna suck," Riggins replied immediately.

"I dunno, could be fun," Claire said.

After all, they got to play with sharp, pointy things.

"Not with this teacher," Riggins said. "He's a douche."

Claire frowned. "I just thought he was insane."

"No, he's a complete tool too," Riggins insisted. "He is to me, anyway."

"Huh. Well, it's only one hour a week, right?"

"I guess so," Riggins allowed. He still thought Deadpool could get in a lot of annoying done in an hour. And that wasn't even counting detention.

Worf stood impatiently in the class and wondered when they could stop talking and start slashing things.

Illyria...was actually silent and something that resembled polite during the lecture. Mostly because she was using this time to study the instructor, admire the coloration and design of his armor, and ascertain his species and potential weaknesses.

Oh, God. He really was insane. Insane and with healing powers. So. Unfair.

And what the hell books was he talking about? Kennedy might just have run into the one part of living in the future that wasn't quite as cool.

That was just a little scary - teachers weren't supposed to like reality TV!

Zack was totally playing the role of happy kid in the classroom today!

Because... Really. Look at who his teacher was! He was kind of like a wiggly kid in a candy store right now. The hero-worship, it was epic. And possibly really, really ill-placed.

Blood and ashes but this man was clearly insane. Mat was just going to stay way over here and cast dubious looks at the man in the red...thing.

Anemone was looking around curiously, twirling a lock of hair in her fingers as she watched the other students. This was going to be awesome.

The teacher was obviously cursed with madness, but it wouldn't be the first time Seregil had gleaned knowledge from such a source. At least swords were something he had a basic understanding of.

...considering some of the unorthodox ways of her Uncle Henry, she wasn't actually too bothered. She knew well that just because someone sounded ridiculous or made jokes, that didn't mean they weren't as sharp as a blade.

It had actually been quite a while since Turtle had taken a class or even associated with Mr. Deadpool beyond YA club. She'd almost forgot that this was pretty much what it would be like, although, really, she kept up with radio, she shouldn't feel vaguely surprised.

Interesting. It was going to be...interesting.

Yuffie thought Deadpool was insane, but the cool sort of insane.

The lecture was odd. Zayne wasn't entirely stunned by this somehow.
