Of course, this wasn't a good conversation to have with a Queen. The urge to protect and shelter her people, to give them a better world, rode Karla hard. And she had a very broad definition of 'hers.'

Well, outcastes, really. And only since Hobart had started that damned whisper campaign against Black Widows. But that wasn't something she'd be sharing with a near-perfect stranger, thanks much.
*But, like I said, hopefully some time living on that wrong side of the fence will make others understand what it's like to live further in. Not everyone, of course, but the rest of us will hopefully make up for it.*

Actually, he kind of was. In that sort of way that made him wonder momentarily if he wasn't half as alone around here as he figured he was anywhere else.
