Yup. There was still food. And tables. Nothing new about any of that, sadly. But maybe there would be shirtlessness? One can always hope, ya know. Dream big.

She glanced down to look at them.

"...I'd be concerned if they were," she decided. "They look like toes to me."

"To me too," he said and shook his head. "She was being flattering, trying to talk her way into getting me to do what she wanted."

"If I wanted you shirtless," Ino said dryly, "I wouldn't be talking 'bout your toes. That's a bit roundabout. What've you been up to anyway, lately?"

"Same old, same old," he said, shrugging. "Finished up classes, spending time with Angela, sleeping, being awesome. The usual."

"Being awesome ought to be higher on more lists," she decided. "'Cause I can totally do that too. Sleeping isn't much exciting, though."

"It's not but I like doing it," he said, unapologetic. "What've you been doing?"

"Not a whole lot," she said, shrugging. "Thinking, taking care of my plants, studying."

"How much care do plants need?" he wondered. "I thought they'd be pretty simple."

"Some need more than others," she explained, "and I've got a fair few scattered about--and I guess I just like babying them too, so..."

"You're a flower girl," he teased lightly. "Unlike me who'd be the one to kill a fake plant."

"That's an impressive lack of a green thumb," she laughed. "Note to self: do not give Hannibal plants."

"It would benefit all plants if you kept them away from me," he agreed, laughing. "And I'm sure, in this place, they'd come to life and get their revenge."

"Good to know I'd be spared," she laughed. "If that invasion comes, I mean. They can't get me for that one."

"You'd just have to save me," he teased.

"Or have the plants name me their queen!"

"Queen of the Plants?" he said. "It has a certain ring to it."

"Nobody would escape my wrath," she laughed. "I'd have the grass track them."

"And you wouldn't save me?" he asked, sticking out his lower lip.

Ino looked as if she were seriously considering it.

"...I probably would," she admitted.

"And you would be my heeeeeeero," he said, swooning.
