Turtle winced. Partly from being too cheerful, and partly for the new girl's predicament. "That suuuuuuuucks," she intoned sympathetically. "Who is he?"

"Some creepy guy named Calvin. And that weird guy who wore pajamas and a mask, who does he think he is anyway, a superhero? Anyway, he said to come to his office next week if the kid is a pervo and I told him I would be there tomorrow because I could tell a perv from a block away."

Cordelia was in fine form today.

There was a bit of a pause.

"That's Mister Deadpool," she offered. "He's special. But he's right about taking care of him if he's a perv. He kidnapped my boyfriend once, and headbutted a guy I liked in the crotch before."

Cordelia's rant was completely side-railed by that bit of information. "Where was he when I was dealing with zombie boy who wanted to make me his bride?"

"Probably busy fighting zombies here," Turtle said, pointing to the ground with both hands. But her eyebrows lifted a little at the new girl. "You had a zombie boy who wanted to make you his bride?"

"Yes. This football player I had a massive crush on died in a car wreck, but his brother brought him back. And then they started cutting up dead bodies to make him a bride, and they wanted to use my head. It was very traumatizing."

Turtle's face twisted. "Ugh, gross!" she said, succinctly, with an appropriate shudder. "I can't even imagine! Well, actually, no, I kind of can, but that's just because weird stuff like that happens all the time here. You're kind of lucky if it happens for you back home, too. Less of a shock when it hits."
