Survival | Week 7 | Period 1 | Wed. 8/19

"Get dressed out and we'll get started," Ronon announced in a very blank looking Danger Shop - other than the locker rooms, of course.

Once it seemed they'd all returned, he hit a button and the room transformed into a huge forested area that looked just like Vancouver it had the other weeks with the hiding and the running for the giant circle. A crazy buzzing sound could be heard from overhead as enemy spaceships swooped over the area. Where the students were gathered around Ronon, they would find a dozen replicas of his energy gun. Through the dense forest ran a two-mile path winding right to a clearing where the giant circle sat, glowing ready for student transport.

"You all have done a good job this session. But this is it. Enemy's attacking. The only safety is at the Ancestral Circle. What do you do?"

Ronon himself was just going to stand there and watch them show both him and themselves that they'd learned something over the last six weeks.

[If Rodney can do it, so can you.]

Alex hadn't slept yet. He was still pretty wired so the exhaustion wasn't hitting him yet. Still, he didn't even bitch or moan about the uniforms today.

Last day of uniforms! This meant that Maron was fairly chipper as she shimmied into hers.

She was burning the shorts, keeping the t-shirt. It wasn't that bad.

Ah, awful, terrible uniforms! Turtle narrowed her eyes at hers as she put them on for the last time!

Especially if she was going to have anything to do with it!

Penelope didn't think she'd ever complain about the uniforms. She just never thought they were that bad.

Dressing out was so much easier when you knew it was the last time. It was a cheerful thought.

Wow, those were some ug--

--Alex's train of thought got cut off when one of those ugly things ended up in front of him. With a muttered, "Oh shit," he took off running, trying to keep from running in an exact straight line to be too predictable. He felt gunfire of some kind whiz over his shoulder and he dove behind a tree to take some cover.

Knowing that that wouldn't be great for long term hiding, he bolted again, juking sharply to the left and trying to lose the Wraith by being quicker. The Wraith didn't seem too winded and Alex really should not have stayed out all night.

He kept running though, looking for a hiding place or something to throw the Wraith off.

Francine had missed the firing-a-gun class. She stared at the energy gun for a long while before deciding to take it just in case, despite the distinct possibility that in a real situation she'd shoot herself in the foot with it. At least she might pick up some practice this way.

Hopefully not in shooting herself in the foot, because she needed that for running.

Towards the bushes.

Where she could hide.

Running away from aliens who wanted to kill you? This was just like being back home.

Gwen grabbed a gun and started running.

Let's face it: Hurley couldn't run long distances, he was too big to hide properly, and he wasn't a marksman.

Which meant that when he tripped out in the open, landed hard, and was pretty efficiently scooped up up by the Wraith beaming thingy, it wasn't a surprise. Not even to Hurley.

Turtle drew in a deep breath.

Hokay. She could do this. Forget about the uniforms for a while. No. Better yet. She instead was going to remind herself that she could not follow through with her sweet plan of victory if she didn't make it through this alive first. With that fueling her heels, Turtle armed herself and took to the scene, darting between one hiding spot to another in a desperate bid to stealthily avoid catching the wraiths attention, but she was also keeping an eye out for her fellow classmates who might need help. She might not be the best to offer it, but still. She couldn't bring herself not to try.

Running! Sam could do running! In fact, Sam was excellent at running for his life.

Oh look, it was Old Home week. Jon grabbed a blaster and started running and shooting.

The Wraith were a hell of a lot uglier than the Goa'uld, but at least their fashion sense was somewhat better. Not much better, but some.

Running was something he was good at. Or at least he remembered being good at it. And shooting while running. It was almost fun, he even snarked at the bastards while taking shots at their ships.

He was almost disappointed when he reached the Stargate and was sent back to the locker room.

Hurley sat, still in his uniform. That was the second time in a month that he'd gotten himself killed, sorta.

Not cool.

He'd just be over here, sulking a little.

If Turtle looked particularly bouncy and edgy on her feet today, it's because she was. She couldn't help it. Not in anticipation of the great plot afoot. A great plot indeed, and she couldn't wait to pull it off again.
