"Right," Glinda said, "performances are next week. I look forward to what you will show for each of your pieces. Today you will have free time to work on your project, and ask me questions about it, if you so desire. Please work quietly, and take as much of the food as you like."

Glinda had gotten creative today, and all the food and drinks were items that were referenced in songs: cherry Coke, slider cheeseburgers, canned peaches, candy, pizza and pasta fazool.

Yes, she had no bananas.

"Miss," Glinda said, sounding confused but firm, "I believe you have the wrong class. Or that the office has neglected to tell me that there was a new student coming in."

"I" and he tried to make his voice sound gruffer before realizing that by adding the gruffness, he'd actually just made himself sound more like her, "I'm in the right place. I guess they forgot to tell you."

BLINK.

For a moment, the new girl sounded just like... No.

"Well then!" she said, too cheery, the happiness cracking at the edges. "Welcome to Fandom, help yourself to a snack or two, and... I hope you're enjoying the class!" She wanted to retreat to her desk so badly. "Of course I won't expect you to do the project, since you just got here..."

She was babbling, and she knew it, but as long as she was talking she wasn't asking herself questions.

"Miss Glinda," and he finally looked up, "Miss Glinda, it's me, all right? Liir?"

And there was the difference, the bright green eyes instead of bright green skin. But the features, well, the features were telling.

"The island's playing games, of course. I didn't mean to upset you."

"Oh, Liir," she said, sounding immensely relieved. "You didn't upset me... more startled, then anything, really!" She couldn't help but stare for a moment. So that was what Elphy would have looked like if the Wizard had been able to degreenify her. "Is it just you, or are there other boys in this predicament?"

"I'd assume the rest of us are as well," he said with a faint wry smile, "as that's how it happened the last time. But who can tell? Things have struck me on my own before anyway."

"Well, if you need anything," she said with a smile, looking and sounding like she was finally starting to relax, "let me know. I'll do my best to help."

He looked back and forth.

"There was, er, one thing."

And he slipped out of his desk as he didn't want this going much farther than her.

"Is there perhaps something I could borrow to, um..."

Attractively sized breasts are no fun when you're 1. not used to them and 2. don't have a bra.

Glinda nodded, and went to her desk, where her staff was leaning. She picked it up and gave it a quick tap on the floor, which caused a small, nondescript brown box to appear on her desk. She then carried it over to Liir and dropped it on his desk.

[When he opens the box, there's a matched set of green- one might even venture to say the shade was emerald- bra and underwear. There's also a note that says the set will disappear as soon as he gets his manbits back.]
