Today the tables and fabric and, well, walls, were gone from the Danger Room. In their place was a rack of completed costumes (with the good fabric, yes) and an enormous terrifying obstacle course.

"Today we do a bit of field testing!" Edna proclaimed, not bothering to keep the glee from her voice. "We will see how ingenious and bulletproof your costume designs are, and how practical your heels are when running over large distances! Getting blisters halfway through chasing a criminal is just embarrassing, darlings."

She gestured at the changing rooms, then the start of the course. "Powers are encouraged, naturally. You can hardly show how well your costumes will handle real-world conditions if you aren't going all out."

She rubbed her hands together and laughed. "The obstacle course certainly will be!"

Adora heard that she could use her powers and her face fell because really she could not. Though, she did have her sword and that would just have to do for the circumstance.

The swamp, naturally, is full of crocodiles with freaking lasers on their heads.

It really wasn't long into attempting to swing across the swamp that Jen got stressed, frustrated, and most importantly angry.

Well, the swinging part got a lot easier once she was big and green.

Adora could do this! She drew her sword (which looked marvelous with her outfit, thanks) and deflected the lasers as she swung across the swamp.

"Well, that was almost too easy!" Adora declared because her canon said she had to talk to herself all the time.

Yuffie came out the other side of the swamp looking rather perturbed, not to mention covered in mud and crocodile guts.

Joolushko was glaring as hard as she could at the ropes and the crocodiles. Unfortunately for her, neither one was impressed.

Eventually, after resigning herself to the ridiculous task, she made it most of the way across before losing her grip and splashing into the swamp. The resulting shriek was definitely not going to be the only one today.

It was a learning experience though. Joolushko learned that crocodile-infested swamps made a fabulous motivator.

"I needed a nice bath, though, green is not really my color," she quipped, having no trouble in heels despite the warning. She wore heels all the time after all.

Jennifer wasn't better coordinated while big and green, though, so she got thoroughly slimed as she steadily made her way through the tire course.

Yuffie let out a screech of rage when the first batch of slime hit her and moved that much faster through the course.

"Who the hell says we have to wear heels? Only stupid people wear heels while fighting!" she said at the end of the section as she ripped off a broken heel.
