Debt! And How to Get Out of It- 1st Period- Class #6

Lily was still a little weirded out even on Tuesday, but she was putting on a good show as she waited for her class in the computer lab. Because she'd totally sent out that E-mail telling them to go there, yes.

"Okay, so," she said, getting right to it. "You owe money, you've had your puppies, now what? Well, the most obvious step to being able to pay off your debts is to find a job. I know, I know, it might be scary and no one wants to deal with this sort of thing over their summer, but it's only one class period so you can just suck it up." ...Yep, still in a mood. "If you look at your computers, I've brought up a little website for you guys. All I want you to do is browse. Go ahead and just do a little search for some job you might be interested in, just to see what's out there. Please don't apply unless of course you have your video resume for Barney's class done in which case, good luck to you. You're not supposed to get actual responsibilities on break."

Wow, she was curious what some of these kids might find as a job prospect.

Adora was seriously worried about all this debt she was suffering from. The puppies had been a fabulous distraction, but her heart was all quick and anxious in her chest about finding a job.

Yakko was balancing a beach ball on his nose.

He was taking this lecture very seriously.

After typing in hero, Adora was disheartened to discover she would have to move to the land of North Carolina...and she didn't know what a trach was so the task seemed a little daunting.

When rebel and fighter didn't bring up anything less confusing, she tried princess. "Oh! Many hits! ...Is that a good thing?" Yes, Princess Cruise lines seemed to be hiring.

Claudia was, frankly, kind of surprised that Kristy didn't have a thing up for babysitters on this website.

It probably would have helped if she'd spelled babysitting correctly...

"Artist" nabbed her a position in Stamford for World Wrestling wtf, website, and she was surprised that no one was looking for a "watress."

Hoshi searched for linguist jobs and was pleased to find pages of listings. On closer inspection, she realized most of them were for the military. Would she pass a background check if, technically, she won't be born for another 47 years?

Yakko was having troubles. There was nothing for "cartoon character," "monkey," "comedian," or, simply, "Warner Brother."

So Yakko decided to give up and searched for "bum." He came up with a "Senior Account Director" position in New Jersey.

Go figure.
