After handwavily letting class know to meet him in the Danger Shop, Jim was grinned as he greeted them.

"Glad to see everyone survived the weekend," He said dryly. "Today we're going to be trying a little exercise on teamwork. The goal is simple. Capture the enemy's flag and bring it back to your base without being hit. You get hit, you wake up in the graveyard and do it over again. Is that understood?"

There was a push of a button and the room changed into something much, much larger than before. Or, at least, seemed to be larger. Here, Jim was perfectly at ease. Almost like being at home.

Another push and a map of the area popped up just in front of them all.

"You'll be split into two teams, Alliance Federation and Horde Klingon." He pointedly ignored any looks he may have received for that one. "There are only two entrances to each base and little to no cover in between yours and your enemy's. Work as a team and succeed or go off on your own and be killed." Jim smirked. "Have fun."

A pause.

"This time."

"Technically, since you're here, Spock is the captain right now." Oh, Bones. Not helping.

"Acting captain then," Bones clarified, sighing.

"That's better." Jim idly picked up one of the foam swords, twirling it once.

Bones eyed the sword. "Hitting me in here would be extremely unprofessional of you."

"Wouldn't want that," Jim replied, thwapping him on the head.

"That's child abuse," Bones said, hitting Jim on the arm.

"You're older than me." Jim, don't be sensible. He did the smart thing and hit Bones again.

"Not what the school records say." Of course he hit Jim back.

That got Bones a smack on the arm. "Well, I know the truth."

"I suppose saying I'm older will make it seem less pathetic after you get your ass handed to you."

"Oh, like you could," Jim shot back, going to hit him on the side of the head this time.

Bones reached a hand up to block that blow (thank god they were foam swords) and going to hit Jim in his side at the same time. "If I recall correctly, you were always the one getting your ass kicked in bar fights back at the Academy, not me."

"That's because you wouldn't fight."

Oh, it was ON.

"I needed to keep my fingers in good working condition so I could patch you up afterward, jackass," Bones pointed out. Pointed out by jabbing the foam sword into Jim's chest.

It was totally on.

Jim held up the sword, pretending like he was Sulu for a moment there. He was a great captain, wasn't he?

"Or were afraid to get your ass kicked."

He was a huge dork of a captain, that was for sure.

"Unlike you, Jim, I don't feel the need to start bar fights for entertainment," Bones said, moving to hit Jim in the arm again.

"Because you're boring," Jim countered, sweeping his sword up to tap Bones on the head again.

"Hey! I'm not boring. I'm just not an immature brat." And, of course, this was punctuated with him trying to hit Jim again.

Totally mature.

"A mature doctor who is hitting someone with a foam sword?" Jim said, bringing his up to block. Foam didn't make that easy, it mostly just bent funny.

"I'm not starting bar fights, Jim." Not that he could in this town, anyway.
