[The vase with red lilies is still sittng on her desk. Laid out on a table are sodas, coffee, popcorn, chocolate, and chex mix. She is visibly annoyed, but not at anyone in class.]

301--Family

Hey gang.We've been discussing family, and we're going to continue this unit into next week. So I thought I'd give you a break and let you watch a movie. Please take notes. I'd like your thoughts on the dynamic and dysfunctional relationships between the characters. If you can identify it, tell me when communication breaks down.

She sets up the TV and puts in Home for the Holidays.

[ETA: Everyone who was on time got to see Harkness go crazy and try to kill CJ. Everyone who is late...the classroom is empty.]

If I had my sonic blaster, I could disassemble your atoms. Much tidier. But no weapons at this school. So I'll have to use this. *raises the shard like a dagger to bring it down into CJ's chest*

[Fluidly, well practiced, she raises her hand and blocks the strike. In a knife attack, one will close the distance. Knives need momentum... She flips her hand and grabs his wrist of the hand holding the glass. She jerks him forward, nearly against him. Her knee comes up, hard, and connects with his crotch as she whispers...]

Chip...I'm sorry...

Jack screams in pain, and drops to the ground, curling around himself. "No, no, no."

[Very nice. *applauds*]

[ Never leave them so they can get back up. A groin hit only works for a few minutes... Automatically, sytematically, she kneels beside him. Tenderly she puts her hand on his forehead and exposes his neck, then delivers a punch hard enough to make him have trouble breathing, but not enough to do any lasting damage. Snapping out of her zen-like state, she begins to tear up. Dammit Chip...why did you make me do this to you...]

Somebody go get a doctor...

*stumbles over chairs and desks to make it to the front of the room*

Professor Cregg? Are you okay? What the hell's happening?!

Get a doctor E...Chip is...hurt.

Elizabeth runs through the school (taking care on stairs) to the clinic (http://www.livejournal.com/community/fandom_clinic/25659.html)

[Watches E run out, and stays by Chip's side. She takes the time to toss the broken glass far away]

Lisa has followed Elizabeth to the classroom. "Can you tell me what happened?"

He was crazy. Violent. He wasn't making any sense...and then he came after me with a broken vase. So I kicked him the crotch and hit him in the throat. Then he passed out...and now he's just laying here...[She gently strokes his hair]

"I'd say strange, but this seems to keep happening at this school. My guess is he probably has been infected with something - a virus, a gremlin bite, a toxin, an alien life form, and ancient goddess... he's breathing, doesn't looking to have any serious external injuries... that are visible anyway. Has he ever had a violent spell before?"

Not that I know of. He's a smartas--leck, but he's generally well behaved. This was...scary...

*takes a step closer to CJ, not saying anything*

"Do either of you know what he may have gotten into in the last few days? I don't think you did too much damage, Ms. Cregg, but I am concerned as to why he is behaving like this. We should keep him still until he wakes up, just in case there is a neck injury I missed."

Elizabeth shakes her head. "I've not seen much of him; only really in class yesterday, and then today..."

She looks up at CJ.

I can't imagine what he would have gotten into...[looks at Elizabeth]...didn't you say Kawalsky was being weird yesterday too?

[Back to Lisa] I think taking him is a good idea. If he wakes up violent again, it would be best to be in the clinic where you can restrain him so he isn't a danger to anyone.

Piper looks around concerned. "What happened?"

I should have froze the room, Piper thinks to herself.

He...he's not himself, Piper. [She's visibly shaken]

Piper is still very concerned. "Is there anything I can do to help?"

No, hon. thanks. I think he's passed out from the pain. Why don't you just...you can go. We'll start fresh next week.

"Okay, if you say so," Piper replied quietly, still clearly concerned.

*holding a hand to where he got smacked, he looks at CJ, concerned*

You ok ma'am?

((am leaving now for the weekend, but the boy wanted to show his concern))

I'm fine, Lindsey. You can take off...but we may have to find you later. I may get in trouble for this. Will you back me up?
