Loki decided to hold class outside, around the main campfire for maximum, well, maximum campfire experience. He really didn't know what the fuck that meant other than he wanted to be outside and not cooped up in a classroom. If the students didn't like roughing it, oh fucking well. That was why he had the authority.

"All right," he started once everyone seemed to have filed in, "I see some familiar faces and some faces I don't recognize. So, if you don't know me, I'm Loki, I'm your teacher and if you didn't sign up for this class, don't tell me that because I'll have to make fun of you."

And he would too.

"Anyway, if you're expecting to do battle with swords or learn to fly or shit like that, you're gonna be sadly bored in this class because that's not what it's about. This class is about dealing with all the little shit that you encounter in everyday life that can put a major fucking cramp in your day. It's stuff that no one thinks about until it fucking ruins their plans because they had no idea how to fucking get past it. This class will teach you how to get past certain things, how to deal with certain things and how to be fucking awesome while doing it."

He just threw that last part in, of course. He was always awesome.

"Today, though, we'll start off slow. We'll do introductions so I know who the hell you are and what the hell you're doing here. Name, age, and last time you bought fucking condoms." He thought of leaving it there but, well, he didn't need to get in trouble. "If you don't want to tell anyone that, just tell us the last time something embarrassing happened to you that you didn't know how to deal with. Sound good? Right." He paused and looked around the assembled mass before picking two people at random. "And you two," he said, pointing to George and Elena, "are the TA's. Congratulations. Don't you just love random fucking selection? Anyway, intros. Go."

With that, he leaned back and waited to hear the class intros.

Just a few quick things of note:

Loki swears. A lot. It's just how he is.
He will very rarely give detentions unless you piss him off and that's very hard to do but I'll warn if it's coming.
He doesn't have a lot of shame. Hence, the intro question today but I'll always try to give alternatives.
Handwaving is always fine if you need to.
He's an angel so he can see your past sins and transgressions. You wanna play with that, let me know.

Effy Stonem

"Effy, sixteen, not since I've been here." Like she wrote that down in a diary. She just knew she'd paid in pounds.

After the first semester, Effy was pretty used to this. More barely suppressed amusement than any sort of staring.

She could even get along with the campfire thing, stretching out her legs as she kept half an ear open for what Loki was saying.

Elle Bishop

"Elle, fifteen, and... I've never bought condoms, so... last embarrassing thing... couple months ago, maybe."

Elle's looking forward to the mugger class. Because really, she wins at that.

Personally speaking, I'm kind of scared of Elle during alcohol management week.

"Welcome back, Effy," he said because, hey, he remembered his former TA. "Didn't get tired of me? And not since you've been here? Aww, too bad for you. Maybe you'll get a chance to make that purchase soon. I'm sure you can do it. Like the Little Engine that Could. Or some shit."

"And leaving that to him has been working for me." And was the reason her stash had lasted so well.

Edmund Pevensie

"Edmund, sixteen and the last time something embarrassing happened that I didn't know how to deal with was two and a half weeks ago." Damned island aphrodisiac. There's no aphrodisiac like loneliness, truth, beauty, a picture of you and magical spores in the air.

"Oh, I missed you terribly," he said, wiping an imaginary tear from his eye. "Glad to see you made it through your break week to brighten my skies again."

Imaginary tears aside, he continued by saying, "And that's just the easy fucking way. Let's hope the he in question never runs out or forgets, right? That'd just be a fucking shame, wouldn't it?"

Ohhhh past sins and transgressions, Ed's got a good'un what with being a wretched traitor and all. But he did get forgiven and saved by ~~Jesus-lion~~ ~~divine intervention~~ Jesus-lion, so that may count for something! Definitely feel free to play with that if you would like. :D

"Edmund," Loki said, almost amused that everyone so far had names that started with E's. Random observation but he didn't care. "What happened to you two weeks ago?"

Well, since Loki can't drink alcohol, it might be totaaaaaaaaally different than anyone's imagining. Or it might not. Mwahahaha.

Oooh, awesome! If I can work that into a class period or class activity or something, I shall do it!

George Cooper

George listened in awe to Loki's speech. Twasn't often you ran into a man who could swear quite so much without sounding like a fishwife.
