How to Dress Like a Pop Star [Class 6] [Period 3] [6/19]
The Danger Shop was back to the look Vince had for the earlier classes: like a discotheque with multicolored light up floors and ceiling, with changing rooms equipped with full length mirrors on three sides.
Vince's outfit du jour was a red shiny jumpsuit, big boots, and Ziggy Stardust style makeup.
"What with the convention in town, today's topic makes a lot of sense. The easiest way to dress like a pop star, is just to dress like a pop star. Put on some big studded black leather bits, do up your makeup like a kitty-cat, and you're a genius like Peter Criss. Grow out your hair, wear a dress that completely doesn't flatter you, and you're Janis Joplin. Wear just a sock, you're like those guys from that band that's named after pepperoni or something."
"Now, imitation is usually a fashion no-no," Vince said. "But here, it's a great idea. If you're copying someone more famous than you, you get to leech some of their amazingness to your own persona. It's really a win-win situation. There's no shame, all glory. Brilliant!"
He laughed, happily.
"So today, I want everyone to dress up like you're favorite musician. Easy, right? But I also want you all to think about next week. It'll be the last class, so I want everyone to get two outfits of their own devising ready. Either you have to model them, or you have to recruit someone to be your model. Goit it? Great. Otherwise, everything goes. I expect boldness."
