How to Dress Like a Pop Star [Class 4] [Period 3] [6/05]

The classroom was... not the same as previous weeks. The changing rooms and racks of clothes were still there, but the overall setting was a cavernous, cathedral like room. Mood lit with candles, gargoyles and dirty stained glass windows looming over head. Vince himself was dressed more gothically as well. The modern goth, though, not like an old Visigoth. black leather jacket, studded color, fishnet shirt, and tight black trousers made up the whole of his outfit. Oh, and he was definitely wearing some eyeliner and some lipstick.

"I really hope you kids are having as groovy of a week as I am," Vince said. His attitude... not so goth, really. "Today we're going to talk about something great, which is dressing up your clothes. Now, sad people only put on clothes and then go out in public. That's silly. If you really want to be dressing your best, you have to go beyond that. That's when we hit the realm of accessories."

Vince pulled off his jacket, which exposed just a bit of skin since underneath was merely fishnet.

"Now this jacket, see, it's acting like an accessory. This collar, definitely an accessory. And it does really look good, doesn't it?" He grinned. "Now, other options are going the multiple chains look, bracelets, gauntlets, leg warmers, that sort of thing. Oh, and capes. Capes are absolutely brilliant. I love them. I could get a nice rich velvety cloak going with this outfit. Blood red. That'd look genius, don't you think?"

He didn't really wait for the class to reply.

"Really, the key is finding things that fit your outfit. And don't follow any silly rules. You can wear leg warmers with a bikini if you're confident enough. Or thigh high boots, a kilt, and a top made ace bandages covered with Scout merit badges. There's a lot of opportunity to bring out the real you, in accessories."

Vince grinned and nodded.

"New style time!" he proclaimed. "I want you all to go goth for the day. Chokers, corsets, cloaks, frills, leather, you name it. There's a lot of options, even in this one style. Oh, and I made sure to bring some make-up in, cause you can't really just not have any make up and really be goth. Thanks, and I should add that lots of people go wild for a goth. Just so you all know."

Dressing Up Gothic! It's like Barbie Dress Up Time, the Alice Cooper edition.

If you think Claudia wasn't trying the "bikini and legwarmers" look out this week, you were sadly mistaken.

Priestly shoulda been looking for his own outfit.

Instead, he was a little busy staring at Claudia.

It was his new favorite past time.

Claudia smirked at him. "I don't want to look desperate," she said. "Flinging yourself at a guy is so unattractive. Is this outfit too much?"

Priestly had to work his mouth a little before he managed to speak without squeaking. "Maybe without the leg warmers?"

More skin = very good, in his opinion.

"Then it's just a bikini," she said with a smile. A tiny, tiny bikini. "That's not very Goth."

"You could add necklaces and make-up?"

"Enough eyeliner and I won't look like I'm prancing around like a beauty pageant contestant, right?" she checked.

Priestly nodded vigorously. "And a crazy hair style. And -- and -- a chain belt?" That wouldn't cover much skin, would it?

"And you can just wear the kilt and boots," she said, grinning. "No shirt."

Hey, at least she wasn't insisting on leather pants, this time. "Okay. I can do that."

She leaned in close. "And then after class we can--" she whispered, then listed off a series of completely non-classroom appropriate options. She smiled wickedly. "We're not inviting Dinah."

Priestly's mouth moved in a slightly fishish way.

"Noooo, no Dinah." Oh crap. "I totally didn't mean to do that, yesterday."

Claudia leaned in to run a nail down his cheek. "You're not going to do it again?"

Priestly shook his head. "For one thing, I think Dinah would kill me." That totally wasn't the reason why he was saying he wouldn't do it again. "You're my girl. Right?"

She nodded. "Yeah," she agreed softly. "Does this mean I get one free kiss with someone?"

Priestly's head was suddenly filled with images of Claudia kissing people.

Mostly female people.

Hawt.

"I guess it'd only be fair. Why, you been wanting to kiss someone else?"

"Not really," she admitted, "but the last few days have been interesting. I like keeping my options open."

Priestly frowned. "Yeah, something's definitely been up." He wasn't sure he liked the idea of Claudia going around looking at other people, though.

Not that he had room to argue, what with the Dinah thing and all.

"I'm not complaining, except for the one time only kissing of Dinah thing," she said with a smile. "The closet was fun."

And there was a dopey grin. "Hell yeah it was. Even if I do get fired for it."

"Maybe you can borrow that high strung teacher's bleach," Claudia suggested.

"I was thinking I'd promise never to do it again."

Claudia pouted. "There are other closets other places," she finally decided.

"Ones that aren't owned by my boss."

"Good call," Claudia admitted, "though it seemed like a really good idea at the time."

"Yeah." Priestly went all googy-eyed for a moment. "It really did."

Claudia went on tiptoe to kiss his cheek swiftly, practically humming at the proximity. "Go get changed," she said. "You look totes hot in a kilt."

"And you'll skip the legwarmers, right?"

"And find a belt and some eyeliner," she promised.

Priestly grinned. "Right on." He headed for the dressing area.

He was having a really good week. He'd be happy to talk to you.

If she's at class, she'll ping in and you can tag her.

Harper was there, and she had plenty of advice on accessories if anyone needed it. Honestly, though, Harper's accessories tended to be food.

Standard lack of workday availability til I get home clause applies, alas.
