Fashion! Blah, Blah, Etc. [Thursday, June 18, 1st period]

Today the tables and fabric and, well, walls, were gone from the Danger Room. In their place was a rack of completed costumes (with the good fabric, yes) and an enormous terrifying obstacle course.

"Today we do a bit of field testing!" Edna proclaimed, not bothering to keep the glee from her voice. "We will see how ingenious and bulletproof your costume designs are, and how practical your heels are when running over large distances! Getting blisters halfway through chasing a criminal is just embarrassing, darlings."

She gestured at the changing rooms, then the start of the course. "Powers are encouraged, naturally. You can hardly show how well your costumes will handle real-world conditions if you aren't going all out."

She rubbed her hands together and laughed. "The obstacle course certainly will be!"

Dinah was poking at her gloves, and stretching out the material at the wrists, still trying to get her mind around this stuff being bulletproof.

Momoko spotted her costume on the rack with a squeal of joy and quite a bit of bouncing. That happiness soon transformed into confused blinking, however, as she listened to what they were going to be doing today.

At the mention of using powers, she frowned. If she wanted to use her powers, she'd have to transform. And even then, in order to fly she needed her real shoes, not the really awesome and totally cool ribbon-laced boots that went with her new costume.

Oh thank God Katchoo had re-drawn the sketches for her. Into something that could be put on and taken off without a tub of Crisco and a shoehorn.

Jo was very glad she had layers to her costume, the more armour between her and wtfbullets the better.

Fiona pulled on her costume, glad she'd opted for full coverage even though she was reasonably sure her skin was a little more resilient than it used to be.

Emma was doing her best not to freak out as she changed into her uniform. Her powers weren't exactly for stopping bullets, and she didn't like using them in class like some sort of cheap entertainment.
