The sun was shining and it was a perfect day for what Marshall had wanted to teach.

"Some people say that tanning is bad for you. Okay, they're kind of right. There's the danger of skin cancer and sunburn and sometimes you get really sweaty and gross. But there's nothing like laying out in the sun and relaxing and getting a nice tan. The sun feels good on your skin and the vitamin D is good for you or something," Marshall said. He probably should have wiki'd that or something. "And, you know, people just look better when they are tan. Correction--when they have a nice tan. Some people take it too far and turn orange. Nobody likes that. Some people can't tan."

English people.

"They burn instead. Which is why I'm insisting that you all put on sunblock today. And, for the love of god, if you feel yourself start to burn lay under one of the umbrellas I've got set out today," Marshall said, pointing to them. "So, yeah. That's what we're doing today. Lay out on towels and tan. Fall asleep and tan, talk and tan, play in the sand and tan, go in the water and tan. Whatever."

This really was the easiest class ever.

"Oh, and I brought a cooler along with soda and juice and stuff in it," Marshall said, nudging his foot at the cooler beside him. "Feel free to help yourselves."

Priestly didn't tan. He freckled. So that was him, lathering on the sun block. He figured he'd aim for the water when he was done. Lying around and freckling just sounded dumb.

Alex was all for tanning. If she got too hot, she'd go in the water. Maybe even try her hand at body surfing. It looked like fun!

Tanning was easy as pie for Hannibal. He slapped some suntan lotion on before finding a nice spot on the stand to lay out and catch some rays.

Adora set herself up on a towel with a bottle of lotion and began applying it to her arms. She was blissfully not thinking about her conversation with Hannibal yesterday as it was too nice on this beach.

Merlin was ~~Irish~~ English. He Did Not Tan.

So that was him putting on as much lotion as he possibly could.

"Don't forget your ears," Francine said with a small smile, dropping her blanket and bottle of lotion beside him. If you shook her family tree, it would rain Celts too - her mother was a MacDonald - but she could tan, if she was careful.

No, Merlin, that doesn't help keep them from burning. Much like your scalp if not careful.

Maron tanned fairly well and so, after applying sunscreen, was't so much tanning as she was kneeling to make a rough sort of sandcastle.

Or maybe sand moat. Maron wasn't picky.

For as much as Jaina complained about Tuesdays not being conducive to work, today was pretty awesome. There was no whining, no making faces, just some sunblock and her laying out on a towel to work. She might actually catch up at this rate.

Prince Edward lathered up and found a nice spot to lay back and enjoy the sun.

Something about this past week had Francine reaching for the two-piece -- with board shorts, thank you -- she'd worn on the cruise, despite its Hi we are Francine's breasts and it's very nice to meet you nature. It reminded her of when things were a little more simple, and...it wasn't like she hadn't been wandering around in almost as little all last week.

Plus, practically speaking, it was nice for tanning.

They probably look fabulous with a tan.

Romeo tanned very nicely for someone so fair, even if he didn't have an icon to show it off. He was lying out in the sun.

Jess did tan very nicely, as a matter of fact, and getting to watch other people tan too was perfect bonus today.

He was sitting back in a chair and getting a tan himself.

Man, Monday was boring. I best be entertained today somehow.

...my sister is making curry at 1:30 in the morning. wtf.
