"Good morning," Brennan greeted the class once they all seemed to be in their seats and more or less quiet. "I hope you all made it through the alligators all right; Valentine helped me dissect one and I'm still reviewing our findings." She gave a tiny, grateful smile to the girl in question ~~assuming she was there~~.

"I know our syllabus says today's class will be about sexuality and religion, but that's really too broad a topic to cover in this class, especially given the wide range of cultural backgrounds. Instead, we'll be talking about aphrodisiacs." Oh, impending irony. "An aphrodisiac is any substance used in the belief it enhances sexual desire. In modern culture, there are certain drugs known to function as aphrodisiacs, such as testosterone supplements, a drug called Yohimbe, and Bremelanotide. Drugs like Viagra, which cure impotence, are not seen as aphrodisiacs because they have no effect on the sexual centers in the brain."

"However, of more interest to this class are the folk medicines and foods seen as aphrodisiacs. These have included some chosen for suggestive shapes or origins, like rhinoceros horn and tiger penis, as well as an incredible range of foods, such as arugula, basil, chocolate -- which may actually have a mild chemical effect -- fennel, oysters, coffee, and the sap of red bananas. The ancient Egyptians saw lettuce as the most potent aphrodisiac of all. Most of these, of course, work only as placebos. There is also cantharadin, known as 'Spanish Fly'; it acts as an irritant and can cause death in too large of a dose."

"Today, I would like you to report back to me on your mock courtship exercise from last week, then sample from the platters of alleged food aphrodisiacs in the back of the room and note any effects they have on you."

"I'm not hot, just bothered that you'd wear something like that to class," Sam said. "You know this isn't going to help in making Ms. Brennan stop thinking we're together, right? She's gonna think you wore that for me or something."

"She wouldn't think that if you weren't freaking out right now. I was just sitting here when you started making noises," Chuck pointed out. "Besides, I think it's funny she thinks you're my bitch."

"Oh, like I'd let you make me your bitch for real," Sam said, because that was obviously the best argument he could make right now.

"Don't think that just because you're bigger than me than I can't make you my bitch. I could, trust me," Chuck said. "And I'd make you enjoy it too."

"I think you underestimate how much I'd fight you," Sam said. "I'm not interested in being anyone's bitch." Of course, that was because Peter hadn't asked, but those were mere details.

Chuck was about to point out the various ways that he already had Sam trained to do what he wanted but thought against it. No need to risk losing a perfectly good bitch.

"I find it hard to believe that you don't like giving up control on occasion," Chuck said. "I thought everybody did."

Sam couldn't believe he was actually discussing this, but he was telling himself that it was a matter of educating Chuck and nothing else. "I don't have control all that often in general. When I get it, I like to keep it."

"Fair enough," Chuck admitted. "I'm in control all the time so..."

He'd let Sam fill in the blank there.

"So you like keeping it too?" Sam guessed.

"Not all the time, no. Being in charge of everyone all the time can be exhausting." Fun, but exhausting. Chuck raised an eyebrow. "I mean, come on, do you really think I'm the one in charge when Dean and I are together?"

"I don't think about the two of you together long enough to figure out who's on top," Sam said, making an annoyed face. "I don't know what Dean does, I don't let him talk to me about those kinds of details."

"Again with you being no fun," Chuck said. "And, just for the record, it's possible to be on the bottom and be in charge. I just meant I let him boss me around a little."

"Well, I'm glad you two balance each other out," Sam said, rolling his eyes. He had plenty of fun with Peter, damn it.

"Balance, nothing. I let most people do that." He didn't want Sam to mistakenly think he and Dean had any kind of connection like that. He nodded his head towards Angela. "I let her tie me up before."

He'd let Dean tie him up only he'd have to worry about Dean not letting him go after.

Sam tried, but he couldn't stop himself from picturing that, and boy did he have a different view of Angela now. "I don't think she'd appreciate you telling me that," he said, trying to cover up how the mental image made him feel.

"I said it to you," Chuck said. "It's not like you're going to walk up to her and talk about it before dying of embarrassment first."

Well, it wasn't like Sam could deny that, really. "Of course not, because the details of a person's sex life should be private," he insisted. "No one should talk to her about what the two of you have done except you."

"You would think that," he said, rolling his eyes.

Sam rolled his eyes as well at Chuck's expression. "It's not the act that's throwing me, if that's what you're thinking. I just don't need to know that kind of thing about people."

"I thought both, actually," Chuck informed him. "But it's nice to know I'm only half right. Makes you seem like less of a girl."

"I'm not a girl," Sam insisted. "And I still think you need pants. I guess you can let Hannibal know his plan was a success or something though."

"I guess it was pretty successful," Chuck agreed, sitting back up straight again and looking towards the front of the class again. "And I bet you haven't even thought about whether or not I was wearing underwear with this."

Sam stared at Chuck and turned bright red, burying his face in his hands before he could say anything that could be thrown back at him later.
