Detention, Danger Shop and Beyond, 8 AM till 2 PM

"Morning," Mitchell greeted; he was starting to look less like he'd been on a bender the longer he was staying off the blood, and so this morning he actually looked fairly fit and chipper for the job. "You're all here because you've misbehaved, and the school's appointed me for your punishment. I'm Mitchell." Beat. "Don't call me professor. It makes me feel old."

He left the sign-in sheet on the desk at the front of the class.

"Today, we're putting you all to work," he said, "We've got a lot of dead alligators out there, so I hope you know how to get out some bloodstains. Then we'll come back around to the Danger Shop for lunch and you'll hear the rest of it."

Mitchell grinned at the class. "We'll have proper detention." It was possible that, for all his heartfelt dedication to the job of being human, he wasn't, in fact, all that good at it.

"Oh, and let me know if you're squeamish."

Mitchell used to clean at a hospital. He had different ideas about disgusting.

Morgana was doing her best to not look at what she was cleaning for too long, not wanting to get sick from the smell and sight combined.

Karla noticed the other girl girl 'lucky' enough to earn a detention. "Kiss kiss," she called. "What did they get you for?"

Morgana frowned as she scrubbed. "I have no idea," she said. "I was given no notice that I did anything wrong."

"I know what you mean," Karla said, scrubbing at a particularly tough stain. Stupid lack of Craft. "I mean, I know why I got detention, I just think it's unfair. Not only did Miss Bennet not tell me I was going to get a detention, she even offered to let me leave early. Except, when I did, I ended up getting my name called for detention."

"Why did you leave early? Was that from class?" Morgana asked. "Are we allowed to do that?"

"I...wasn't feeling well," Karla said. "So I left class early. And I don't think it's something we're supposed to do, since I ended up in detention for it." She grimaced.

And then suddenly remembered her manners. "I'm Karla," she said. "I'd offer to shake, but I'm fairly certain etiquette lands in favor of not getting alligator goop all over you."

"I'm Morgana," she replied with a bit of a laugh. "I will choose cleanliness over courtesy as well in this instance. I had hoped our teacher would know why we were asked to be here, but that doesn't seem to be the case."

"Sometimes, I highly doubt anyone at this school knows anything," Karla grumbled. "I mean...goldfish-spitting alligators? Really?"

"Have you ever seen anything like that?" Morgana asked incredulously. "I thought I'd gone mad!"

"That was definitely a first for me," Karla agreed. "And one of the oddest things I've ever seen. And I've walked the outskirts of the Twisted Kingdom!"
