Detention, Danger Shop and Beyond, 8 AM till 2 PM

"Morning," Mitchell greeted; he was starting to look less like he'd been on a bender the longer he was staying off the blood, and so this morning he actually looked fairly fit and chipper for the job. "You're all here because you've misbehaved, and the school's appointed me for your punishment. I'm Mitchell." Beat. "Don't call me professor. It makes me feel old."

He left the sign-in sheet on the desk at the front of the class.

"Today, we're putting you all to work," he said, "We've got a lot of dead alligators out there, so I hope you know how to get out some bloodstains. Then we'll come back around to the Danger Shop for lunch and you'll hear the rest of it."

Mitchell grinned at the class. "We'll have proper detention." It was possible that, for all his heartfelt dedication to the job of being human, he wasn't, in fact, all that good at it.

"Oh, and let me know if you're squeamish."

Mitchell used to clean at a hospital. He had different ideas about disgusting.

Get some gloves and other moddable cleaning supplies. Complain to your fellow students! Wonder how Mitchell could be so upbeat about alligator entrails.

Zack siiiighed a very heavy sigh as he went to gather up some rubber gloves, a scrub brush, and a bucket of soapy water. He wasn't sure exactly what he'd done to get himself into trouble, but man, it must have been bad.

This was so. un. fair.

Fiona's teeth were clenched tightly as she put on her gloves and suited up with a hairnet and a couple of other accessories. She'd done cleaning up before but she'd hoped it was mostly behind her.

She'd worked all yesterday! Why did she have to go clean it up today?

It was like every other of the last dozen detentions John had experienced. He wondered what was with teachers and making him clean stuff as he said a little goodbye to the t-shirt he'd worn today. It would likely never be the same.

This was a little unfair. Sure, she'd run out of Miss Bennet's class, but Miss Bennet had said she could leave early if she'd wanted. Sure maybe the exit was a little more dramatic than necessary, but was it really detention-worthy?

And, of course, scrubbing without Craft. How nice.

Eh, Jaina'd done worse. She wasn't exactly thrilled to be cleaning all this up, but she'd earned her detention fair and square and at least part of this mess was handwavily hers, so. Rubber gloves and cleaning supplies, yay.

Morgana glared at the cleaning supplies, as though that would help her understand what she was doing here. She thought she'd been following all the rules, and no one had yelled at her for anything. It just didn't make sense.

Tony got gloves but no other supplies. And he looked a little more cheerful after the assignment was announced. Look, he was a wizard who knew about three spells and one of those was going to be really useful today.
