Archeology: Tuesday 5/19 - Period Three

The usual notifications were sent out to the students to let them know that today's workshop was taking place in the Danger Shop. When those students arrived at the danger shop they might notice that room had been transformed into the first scene of Raiders into an altar room.

"All right kids," Indy said slapping his hands together gleefully. "All right. Last week we covered the care and treatment of various artifacts, today we're going to put a little spin on it. While the life of an archeologist sounds exciting on paper, it actually can be a rather tedious job. Ninety percent of your time will be spent in a library researching. If you're lucky you'll spent another three percent out in the field trying to find the proof your research or theories provide. If you're in that lucky one percent then you'll find what your looking for.

He then gave his class a sinister looking grin. "And then when you do find what you were looking for? You better be prepared to fight and keep it. Now, we could spend the rest of the class sitting in the library but somehow I doubt you'll find that very fun. So, I've put together a few scrapes that I've gotten into over the years after... recovering rare antiquities. Your assignment is take the object you picked out last week and get through my little obstacle course. Feel free to go it alone or work as a team."

His grin got a little broader. "Good luck."

Jaina still didn't trust his non-Hannishness, but mostly she was figuring archaeology couldn't be that tough. What was going to happen when you dug around in dirt all day, you stumble across a big bug?

Part I: The Altar Room!

The room you start off in looks to be a altar room of some sort with a tiled floor. The walls are covered with graven images with holes in strategic places. As the room begins to shake it might become obvious that a trap has been sprung.

Oh and did Indy forget to mention that certain tiles on the floor are pressure sensitive? And that the walls will shoot poison darts if you step on said tiles?

No? Oops.

Shilo stepped onto the tiled floor, promptly putting her boot through one of the pressure sensitive ones.

When the dart connected with her arm, she panicked, tore it from her arm, and booked for the other side of the room, yelling, "ROBIN LET'S GO" as she did.

Part II: Bouncing Ball!

Okay, so you got out of the altar room. Too bad there's rumbling overhead. Oh! Look! A giant rock is rolling toward you at high speed! Better run like hell to the entrance of this crazy place.

Helen burst out of the room, slowing only long enough to see the rock coming towards them. "RUN!"

Part III: Natives!

Whew! You got out of the cave just in time. Just in time for some angry natives to find you and start shooting arrows at you for taking their sacred artifact.

Oops. Looks like you'll need to run through the jungle to your plane.

"Oh come on!" Diana shouted and moved the Possibilities around again to make sure that none of the arrows would actually hit her or her partner.

Part IV: Nazi!

Look! You've found a plane in a convenient clearing. Too bad your pilot is tied up and there's a large Nazi blocking your path. Looks like you'll either have to give up your artifact, trick the Nazi, or beat the crap out of him to get away.

There was the plane! With a large man blocking the way. Helen glanced over at her partner. "Think there are any snakes around?"

Sam was totally wondering what the hell was going on. The Nazi especially had him confused. When did the professor expect them to run into Nazis? It's more likely than you think!
