Art of Seduction [Wednesday, Period Four]

Bond had sent an email to the class, telling them to meet at the main campfire, where he lounged while looking over his notes.

"Now, you're all here to learn about seduction," Bond began, after the number of students before him matched the number of names on his roster. "Or because of a paperwork error. In which case you have my sympathies, but given that you're teenagers, you probably still need all the help you can get. Which may be more than I can give during the length of this course, however I will endeavour to ensure that over the next few weeks you will get a thorough grounding in one of the most important skills you will ever need."

He paused before continuing "To help me get an idea of where you're all at, and what exactly I'll need to cover during the next few weeks, we'll start off with introductions. I want you to tell the class your name, your year, one interesting thing about yourself, and what you hope to get from the class."

"One more thing," Bond said, as he ran a finger down the roster and picked two names out at random. "Frost. Priest. Congratulations, you're now my TAs." So nice of him to give them a choice in the matter.

"Michael, though I'll answer to Van Helsing, but never Gabriel," he says, folding his eyebrows into a frown with that last. "I believe I'm a junior, though I have limited knowledge of this educational system, so I don't know what that means. Does that count as my 'interesting fact'? And, I haven't the first damned clue what I want out of this class, as it was chosen for me by the same guys who sent me to this school. So, guess I'll get out of it whatever there is to get."

"If nothing else, I'm sure you'll get the desire to open new avenues of communication with your guardians," Bond said, completely not smirking because that would imply some sort of amusement at a student's predicament.

And that would be wrong.

"Why the hell would I want to do that? I didn't wish to speak with them before, after this insane stunt, I'm certain I'll have no desire to speak with them."

"So you can let them know how much you appreciate their choice of classes," Bond replied smoothly. The implied don't went unspoken.

He narrows his eyes, reading into the statement a little. "Are you suggesting that I return and give them a 'piece of my mind' in a vaguely violent fashion?" Not that he was reading into the statement correctly, but that's what he pulled from it.
