Sam was still catching up on the sleep he'd missed over the weekend, and nearly overslept to the point of being late to the library.

He still managed to find the time to grab coffee though. Priorities were important!

Sam checked to see if anyone had any overdue books out, and double-checked to make sure Special Collections was still secure. Call it a nervous habit.

Sam went through his e-mail, discreetly clearing out all the porn spam. Yes, it was all spam. He didn't need that in his inbox when he had the whole internet already available, shhh.

Sam looked through the stacks for something short and funny to read.

Sam had snuck two pieces of pie out of Food Appreciation class yesterday, and was fully prepared to share if Dean came by.

Sam settled in at the desk with his book, but it wasn't as good as he'd hoped. Instead of reading, he pillowed his head on the desk with his arms, intending to just close his eyes for a minute, and nodded off.

Sam took a quick sweep through the library to make sure nothing needed to be cleaned up.

Me? Do some method RP? Nooooo.

Dean wandered in at the usual time with a couple of burgers with the works, one of which he tossed to Sammy.

"Hey," Sam said, taking the burger and sliding one of the plates of pie over in return. "How's it going?"

Peter came in. He was about to call out to Sam when he saw that Sam was sleeping. So he quietly sat down in a nearby chair and doodled in his sketchbook to pass the time.

Dean shrugged. "Still getting used to the quiet again. But yeah, things are good."

After a few minutes, Sam woke up and sat up with a start, remembering where he was. He looked around for Dr. Jones, and realized Peter was there instead. "Uh, hi," he said sheepishly.

"Your kids were all really adorable," Sam said helpfully. "Even the one with Chuck."

"She's going to be freaking scary when she grows up," Dean said with something like pride.

"And know way too much about the sex life of her fathers," Sam replied.

"Well, really, Sammy what else is Chuck good for?" Dean asked spreading his hands.

"Hey," Peter said. He kept his voice low since Sam had just woken up. "You can go back to sleep if you want."

"No, it's okay," Sam said, shaking his head a little. "Have you been sitting here long?"

"Only long enough to notice how cute you are," Peter told him. "So not long at all."

"I don't want to think about him being good for that!"

Sam got a little red and smiled at Peter. "You could have woken me up."

"I figured if you were napping around books you really needed the sleep," Peter told him.

"When you put it like that, you make me sound book-crazy," Sam teased.

"Book-affectionate," Peter replied.

"Oh, that sounds a lot better," Sam said, peeking over at Peter's sketchbook. "What were you drawing?"
