Library; Monday [ 04/13 ].

Try as he might, Cal could not convince himself that today was just another normal Monday. He did put forth the effort: grumbling about having to be up so early, making himself some coffee with too much sugar in it, and going to the library to open it up. All of those were very normal activities.

The fact that they were shared with an impossible little Greek redhead, however, made the fact of the weekend inevitable.

Cal pulled up an extra chair to the desk for Paul. "Know what'll be really fun?" he asked the kid. "Organizing these books and then putting them back in the shelves. Here, let me show you how they go. It'll be like a game, right?"

Paul was incredibly dubious, but he was very interested in books, all the same, so he paid attention to the quick library aide lesson.

With Paul running off to shelve books, Cal was hoping to sneak in a little bit of a nap first period.

Paul asked if it was okay to stop shelving books now; he found one he wanted to read, but Cal told him that, if he could keep it up for another hour, then he'd earn himself a break time for the rest of the day.

Look, if he was stuck having a kid, he was at least going to take advantage of the fact that people had kids so that they could do your work for you, right?

Third Period -- 04/13.

Mission accomplished and books put away, Paul and Cal were both settled behind the desk with their noses stuck in books.

Like father, like biologically impossible son.

Lunch -- 04/13.

For lunch, Cal sent Paul off to go find some food in town so that he could step outside and have a smoke without feeling guilty about damaging his little sprogling's lungs, so the library is only open to Dr. Jones and his aides.

Fourth Period -- 04/13.

Paul had procured some sandwiches and so both of them were currently enjoying them and giving each other crap for getting crumbs all over the desk.

"I can't wait for this to be over," Paul said, feeling bored with the library after so long.

"Yeah, me neither," Cal agreed. "Because that means we go to art club and I can pawn you off on your mother again."

"Hey!"
