The students would find a sign on the classroom that requested that they relocate to the Danger Shop, and, once there, they would find the usual Sword Coast terrain that Minsc typically set up. Once the small crowd had gathered, he did a quick head count, nodded, and began.

"Now," he said, "I'm sure you're all sick of transforming stuff as of late. First, transforming into zombies and then transformation of the mind. We haven't talked much of those. Transformations of the mind, ones that mess with your head not in a way that just makes you feel confused or befuddled or motionless, but ones that make you really think you're someone else. The most common for of that here, of course, is gremlin bites, and we can't exactly do anything to prevent them at the moment because they are only taking up on what we owe them, although, really, they certainly didn't show any modesty in collecting, now, did they?"

"Either way, that's probably already more that what you'd like to hear about transformations today! We probably want to forget about them for a while. So today, we'll have a nice therapy day."

And, of course, therapy day to Minsc meant...

"Fighting!" A small collection of ~~moddable~~ weapons and armour showed up on the scene and now, little things could be seen moving through the trees behind them. "We shall let out our frustration with these....demons..." Funny, those 'demons' looked an awful lot like gremlins. But, of course, they weren't! It wouldn't be right by the treaty to fight gremlins. Demons, however, as similar they looked to gremlins...

Minsc cleared his throat. "Yes, demons here, need to be vanquished! Take up a sword and vanquish to your heart's content! I will join you in the theraputic fighting!"

"And, for those of you who do not find fighting to be cathartic today, Boo will take you to the other side of the Shop, where there are cute cuddly ~~moddable~~ animals to play with and care for instead. They'll need feeding and playing with!"

"And, finally, extra credit to anyone who wishes to tell about their experience either as a zombie or fighting them!"

Unfortunately for Merlin, he was noticed, and Dōjima slid up next to him. "Got a moment?" she asked quietly.

"Er." No, please no. "Sure?"

Dōjima just rolled her eyes and gestured for him to step away from the group slightly. There was no reason to distract their classmates from the 'assignment' with this.

"I just wanted to say thank you," she said with a wry grin. "For not letting me turn Arthur into lunch last weekend. While he's delicious - figuratively speaking as a girl appreciating a cute guy, of course - eating one of my classmates would have caused huge levels of mental trauma."

"Oh." That was better than being told off for... throwing someone into the preserve. "Um, you're welcome. I think."

"Your aim sucks though," she continued bluntly, "since you should have thrown me into a tree and left me there. And if you ever so much as think magic at me again in a non-combat situation, I will end you. I can ignore Craft as long as it's being put to good use, and you're a nice guy, but if you ever threaten another student with it, I will find out."

She shrugged half-apologetically. "I'm a Witch Hunter. If I didn't, I wouldn't be doing my job."

"I hadn't really been thinking about it," Merlin replied a bit dumbly. A witch hunter. Of all the luck... "I have only used it against someone as protection."

Okay, so sometimes it was a very violent and lethal sort of defense.

"Well, that is what it's for. The Craft, I mean. Protecting and helping."

Dōjima tried to smile at him reassuringly. Crap. Judging by the shocked expression, she'd broken Arthur's little friend. "We just have...issues. On my world. With people going mad and getting lost inside their power."

Merlin just shot her a look and nodded before focusing very firmly on his desk. "It's punishable by death in Camelot. Just to have the ability."

Dōjima stared at him.

"Are they insane?" she asked finally. "It's the Craft. Yes, it's dangerous and the practitioners should be properly trained and monitored. But you don't choose it. It chooses you. And a human with a gun can do just as much damage if they set their mind to it."

Merlin just shrugged helplessly. "It chooses people?" That didn't quite match up to what Gaius had implied about him being different.

"Well if you've got it, it's not like you can say 'no thanks,'" Dōjima replied dryly. "In my world, it's genetic. You're either born with the potential or you're not."

"People learn it where I'm from," Merlin offered. "At least, that's what I think is the case. I haven't actually spoken to many sorcerers before here."
