Sarah sits at the desk down in front, off in a world of her own as she writes down random, almost illegible notes on a pad of paper. Anybody who might wish to risk their lives to peek at what she's writing would see a lot of half-baked theories about locker 327.

Rory curls up in the back of the room, reading Anna Karenina for the umpteenth time.

She looks grumpy. (Or what passes as grumpy for Rory...which really quite chipper for most people.)

[OOC: Well that's what happens when you date a guy who's lj handle is psycho_jackass. Do you need me to flag Angela to talk to you about your abadonment issues or will an ex-assassin do?]

[Oh, and he also made out with Alex Krycek on a dare, which has made Rory seriously mad after talking to Jake. So if either Marty or Angela or both want to approach her, it works, but she's going to be all annoyed with everything.]

"Hey Rory. What's the good word? You look slightly less chipper than normal."

"If someone approached you at a party, and said they had to kiss you on a dare, would you? Oh, and bear in mind that Angela is at this hypothetical party."

"Well... I would probably check with Angela first. I assume this hypothetical situation wasn't so hypothetical? Even then I'd probably say no."

"Hmm," Rory frowns. "Okay, let's say that it's Alex Krycek, and your ex-girlfriend put him up to it, and you didn't know Angela was watching. What about then?"

She taps her pencil against the desk.

Marty chuckles a little bit. "I think I'll stick to my original answer. 'No.' So I'm guessing something happened between Logan and Alex?"

Marty takes Rory's pencil away.

"Hey...I was using that," she says, scowling.

"And yes. And normally, I couldn't care at all, because it meant nothing and I know that. But after the whole other Logan thing," she continues, raising her eyebrows significantly, "I'm annoyed by the hypocrisy, y'know? Plus, he just walked out of the party after. Leaving me there alone, and not even saying goodbye."

"You get your pencil back when you promise not to fidget with it."

"Did he know you were at the party? I didn't see you two together. As for the hypocrisy... Well that's a tough one. He probably felt like the kiss didn't matter so it wasn't a big deal to him and therefore shouldn't be a big deal to you. Whereas in your case with you smooching the other Logan... well that could be a bit more murky. Plus it wasn't like Logan was making out with his ex directly or anything."

"But I want it back now," Rory whines, grabbing for the pencil.

She sighs. "He knew I was there. Specifically told me to wait for him right before I walked over to talk to you. And...well, with the other Logan thing, I didn't think that mattered either. It was for a class. It didn't mean anything to me. And yeah, this is a stupid dare, but after that fight before - did you see the scene he made over it at my campaign meeting? Parker was about ready to kill him. 'Course...that's not saying much, as Parker goes, but you know what I mean."

Marty holds the pencil out of reach from Rory. "Being whiny about the pencil isn't going to help. Promise you'll stop tapping it."

"I heard about the scene at the campaign, which... yeah totally on the wrong and..."

Marty sighs.

"Rory... Do you want me to be *completely* candid with you about Logan?"

Rory pouts, looking at the pencil.

"Be candid away, but remember that I reserve the right to be upset by anything you might tell me," she replies.

Marty sighs, succumbs to the pout and hands back the pencil.

"Look Logan is... too self-centered for his own good. I'm not saying that he's a bad person, but he doesn't do anything unless he's going to get something out of it. Unfortunately that pretty much describes every guy out there."

Marty uses his thumb to point to over where Angela is talking with Crichton.

"For instance I should really be thinking about your problem, but the only thing I can keep my mind on is why Angela is over there talking to Crichton instead of hanging out with me."

Rory taps her pencil against her nose, glancing over at Angela.

"Yeah, I know what you mean - my last boyfriend was kind of an extreme case of that," she sighs. "So, here's another question. If I were to concoct a revenge plan involving kissing a girl-who's-not-really-a-girl in front of him on a dare, do you think that'd make him mad, or get my point across in a funny way?"

She adds, "And Angela's over there talking to Crichton because he's funny in a brotherly, sexless way, and besides, you're talking to me."

"I think planning revenge is not the best idea Gilmore. If Logan flipped out about Huntz-whatever his name is and it meant nothing do you really thing it's going to go better the second time around?"

"I'd just go for the full throttle open and honest discussion about your feelings. And then wear something cute so he'll agree to whatever you say."

Marty gives a jealous look over at Angelay and Crichton.

"And yes I know Crichton has a thing for Lee isn't a threat but still. And besides you're friends with Angela and she knows you wouldn't try anything on me."

"But isn't that whole girls-making-out thing a fantasy for guys?" Rory asks, frowning. "I would think it'd be well-received, since Jake-the-girl, who's my co-conspirator in this, isn't a threat at all, whereas Huntzberger is. And then there's plenty of time for feeling talk after that."

Rory grins. "Maybe she's asking him for advice for presents to get you," she suggests.

"So your revenge on Logan is to act out a guys typical fantasy? Isn't that kind of like... rewarding bad behavior? Face it. You just want to make out with another girl."

"And why would Angela be getting me a gift?"

"It would get my point across, though, without stomping on any feelings," Rory replies, leaning back in her chair and balancing her pencil on her nose.

"And I don't know. Maybe she likes celebrating Columbus Day?"

Marty admires Rory's pencil balancing abilities.

"Trust me... If bad behavior motivates you to make out with with another girl even if he is a guy, then it is only going to encourage more bad behavior."

"Hmm," Rory considers as the pencil falls off her nose. "Fair point. Would get his attention, though."

Marty sighs.

"You're just going to go through with it aren't you? All right. But when it all blows up in your face, let's remember who gets the first crack at 'I told you so's'."
