Flight Club [Flight Shed]

Gavin was hiding under a hooded sweatshirt and a baseball cap today. Yeah, he knew it didn't do much to hide who he was but it was something. And it made it even less likely that he'd look John in the face after...last night.

Kriffing hell, he hated gremlins. He hated this place. And why the kriff had he been the girl?

"Welcome back. There's snacks." Gavin was just bundles of joy today. "Uh, just...practice with your vehicle of choice in the sim and we'll get back on track next week."

When he wasn't wanting to run and disappear into the deepest hole the island offered.

"Pay particular attention to landings. That'll come in handy next week."

With that, Gavin pulled open the sim's door and started wishing for lightning to strike him down.

He peered at her like she had to be kidding here. "Oh yeah, just peachy." Dripping sarcasm was fun!

"It could have been worse. There could have been singing." Except she thought this was totally worse/better than Annie, because of the dancing.

Should he point out that he'd sang while he looked deeply into Gavin's giant orbs with feeling and emotion? No.

"Don't even. You were there, you didn't try to stop me."

"You weren't hurting anyone," she said. "And I thought Baby might try and kick my ass if I did." That part was definitely true. And not that Jaina couldn't take Gavin, but that would have been mean.

"Uh huh," John nodded, of course believing that Jaina would ever let Gavin close enough to try. "So you're not hurt?" Yes, he was pouting.

"...That what, you were dancing with Gavin under the influence of gremlin? No," she said.

"So you figured why stop me from being hurt later," he complained. Because he was hurt. He'd woken up to back and shoulder pain that Tylenol were just not helping.

"And I was supposed to know that how?" she wondered. "Okay, I should have stopped you. I could have maybe distracted you with the Care Bear song that you had me do instead of stopping me."

She maybe had a point there. "At least you weren't grinding with Gavin! I would've stopped that, thanks."

"I honestly wasn't sure what that was," she admitted. Like Jaina had ever grinded (ground?) on the dance floor in her life.

"Well, I guess you'll have to find someone to show you," he snarked, regretting the words immediately but holding firm to his cranky attitude.

"Yeah, because the fit you'd throw to me doing that would be funny," she said dryly. "It's a gremlin bite. Just wait till I get mine, then you'll feel better."

"Hey, I wouldn't throw a fit!" Yes he would. "You were hip thrusting at the general public a couple weeks ago and I didn't complain." Oh but he would.

"When I thought I was a bear? That doesn't even count. And that was not hip thrusting!" It kind of was.

"It really was," he pointed out. "Go ahead, try it without the bite."

"No," she frowned.

"Like I thought." Why he thought he could get away with being a bitch was beyond anyone.

"And you shouldn't be able to throw that at me because I thought I was a hugging bear," Jaina said. "Which is why I'm not upset about yesterday, but if you really want to start something...."

"I don't want to start anything," he said, crossing his arms. It was her fault anyway.

"You're kinda acting like you do," she said.

He clunked the back of his head against the wall, aware he was being a jerk. "Sorry."

She was sorry she'd helped start all this, but she wasn't dumb enough to announce that in public. "I'd say we should agree to stop each other at times like that," she said, "but we've tried that before and we still are horrible at it."

"Yeah, well maybe you could help me forget it ever happened," he suggested. "Since you thought it was a good trade off for last weekend." John wasn't sure zombies were worse than grinding on Gavin.

Hey. "How would I do that?" she asked, wondering if he had something in mind.

"You've got ways," he meant mind tricks. "I'm open to anything." Seriously, he'd like to feel like he could stop scrubbing before it hurt next time he showered.
