Flight Club [Flight Shed]

With food and snacks set out, Gavin was back by the flight shed, waiting for the rest of the club to show up. And, while he was waiting, he was eating some of the snacks. Food was food and teenage boy were unable to resist food.

"Hey guys, welcome back," he greeted, nodding to everyone. "Hope you all had fun with your paper airplanes because we're doing that again."

Pause.

"No, kidding. I wouldn't keep you out of the flight sim for two weeks in a row. Today, we're going to do something a little different. Instead of small fighter crafts, you're going to be the captain of a large ship. You will have control of several fighters, a horde of weapons and a cadre of soldiers. The scenario will be...revealed to you in the sim. Have fun."

Gavin smiled and opened the flight sim's door.

"Well, you caught me on my busy day," he said, trying to think what time he'd be free and clean. "But I think I can make some time tonight. What did you have in mind."

"Maybe do that boardwalk thing? We can meet up after all your clubs." And, if anything did happen to cause that bad feeling, she'd already be out in the open for it.

"It's sort of rainy for a boardwalk," John shrugged. "But I guess there's bound to be places to go inside."

"Afraid of a little weather?" she asked with a little smile.

"Don't you visitor-types melt when you get wet?" John countered.

"Haven't melted yet, unless you're insulting me really badly," she said.

"I'd never insult you," he smiled. "I'd hate for you to have to get all pinchy again."

She teasingly raised her hand, two fingers in a pincer grip. Just as a warning.

John raised a hand as if in fright. "Please, no! Anything but that!"

"As long as you know what you'd be facing," she said oh so seriously, hand still up threateningly.

"I'm very aware," John said, reaching out his hand to block her threat.

She prodded his hand with her pincer fingers. "Good, I've made my point clear."

"Crystal," he nodded, trying to wrap his hand around the pincers. "You gonna let me beat you at arcade games tonight?"

"Probably," she said, not exactly fighting for her hand back. "I've never played one, so you have the advantage there."

"I'm sure you'll learn fast," he assured her, keeping her hand. It was his now. "There's always a trick to those games."

"Are you going to teach me the trick?" she asked.

He threaded his fingers with hers. "I could try to, but I doubt you'll need my help."
