301--family and the sanctity of the sperm

OK, gang. We've talked about our biological families, and we've talked about families in general, along with the problems that face them. I would like you to be aware that where I'm from, people sometimes shun the sanctity of the sperm and the egg...they cast off all biological ties and create their own family. People latch on to others, that's human nature.

Life can be very hard. Without some kind of family structure, people do not thrive.

Why do we need other people? Why are we not solitary creatures? What does it say about this drive that we will dismiss our bloodlines and pick up on people who offer something we need? And most importantly, how do we communicate this? Is it verbal? Physical? Textual or understood, or perhaps chemical?

Jack reads the paper he's been hit with. Family = Bad NO FAMILY = $$ Huh?

Jack looks over to where the ball came from and sees Anya. He waves.

"Jack," she semi-whispers. "Did you get my letter yesterday?"

"The one with where I said I was sorry that I left so quick, and then I told you I was thinking of you," she paraphrases the note she put on his door.

"No, Jack," she says sounding frustrating and getting a little louder. "There was something with it for you. Did you get it?"

"I guess not, I didn't even see the note."

"I sent you a picture of me looking sexy and sultry in bra and panties, looking all 'come and get it' because I was hoping you would and you didn't get it?" she finishes her sentence and realizes she's practically yelling.

"No." Oh no. "You know I have roommates right? Evil ones?"

"Apparently and now one of them is getting their happy from a naked, very sexy picture of me," she says a bit quieter.

"I have more," she offers.

"Uh well..." What's the proper response to that? "Okay."

"I could bring them to you Friday," she says. "When we have our next date."

"Friday?" Shit. Stupid party, he must've forgot. "Right, Friday. Right."

"So, are you picking me up?" She asks in much quieter voice to avoid CJ yelling again

"Of course. Seven right? We're going..." Jack tried to lead her without letting loose the fact that he forgot about their date.

"Dinner and a movie," she says wondering why she has to come up with the ideas if jack wasn't so hot this relationship would be over
