Blank Page Art Club, Art Room, Monday (After Classes)

Katchoo, with Clocky dutifully hovering close by her feet, was slouched in a chair near the front of the room and half asleep when people started arriving.

That didn't last once Clocky rammed into her ankle and startled her awake with a loud yelp and an impressive burst of profanity.

"Yeah, so, art show. We were talking about doing this Art Crawl thing --" she did the little fistpump, she couldn't help it -- "in one of the buildings in the warehouse district. Everybody still up for it and all that jazz? If we're gonna do this we better get cracking with the planning."

She shrugged and glanced toward the tables where the supplies had been laid out. "Or, y'know, draw or whatever. Just for the love of God, no crayons."

. . . there were totally crayons on the tables anyway.

Make with the planning, or complain about the lack of snacks, or wonder who let the cranky blonde run the show today . . .

Claire looked and sounded incredibly apathetic about everything, but she did pick her head up off the desk to say, "We ~~handwavily~~ checked the warehouses out last week and found one that looks like it would work," she said. "We can probably get it into shape by the middle of April? And ... I dunno. Someone should talk to music club and the theater people to see if they want in."

Talking and being artistic? Hey, it works.

Claire was drawing the UCLA Bruin mascot being pierced with many meticulously detailed knives and arrows.

Someone was still pissy about not getting into college.

Claudia was sketching out pictures of the tiny kids who'd visited her room this weekend. They'd been so cute and she didn't want to forget how they'd looked.

Angela was looking more than a little smugly amused as she sketched. She couldn't help it.

Her hand still had a pretty flower on from yesterday. Awww.

"Nice flower," Peyton said with a grin. Hers was still there too.

Angela laughed and held her hand up to Peyton's. "Snap."

"Good to know we're still twins," Peyton teased.

"Aw, I wouldn't wash it off for anything," Angela joked right back. "Little you put so much effort into it!"

"Luckily little me didn't brain you with the baseball bat," Peyton said with a smile. "Little Dean did quite a number on her."

"My head thanks you for your restraint," she said.

"Woke up the same way today," Peyton admitted. "I'm still exhausted."

"I woke up in bed with two men," Angela shared cheerfully. "And I'm feeling pretty refreshed."

Between that entertainment, and getting back to curl up with Hannibal... You could say Angela was having a good day.

"Hannibal and who else?" Peyton asked. "Anyone good?"

"Hannibal was not one of them," she said, smirking a little.

"Oh?" Peyton said, quirking an eyebrow. "Who then?"

"I'm not sure I should be telling," she admitted with a little laugh. "They might kill me later."

"It's going to be on the news tonight," Peyton pointed out.

Well, that was true enough. And she had already told Hannibal...

Angela shrugged. "Well, it was partly your fault," she said. "I told Chuck you said there were monsters, so he let me stay with him... I woke up this morning to both him and Sam there."

"You and Chuck and Sam?" Peyton cracked up. "Oh, that's too good! But geez, leave me all alone to face the monsters by myself, why don't you?"

"The bed would've been even more cramped than it already was if I'd brought you along," she said with a grin.

"Yeah, well, not exactly where I would have wanted to spend the night anyway," Peyton admitted.

"Wrong brother?" Angela guessed. "Or the fact it was a sleepover in Chuck's room?"

"The latter," Peyton said. "Though, yeah, wrong brother might be a little weird too."

"Chuck does actually have his moments of being a decent guy," Angela said. "Or, he gives the impression of it from time to time."

Peyton nodded. "I'm sure he does. He just... I don't know, makes me a little uncomfortable."

Angela shrugged. It was possible that vibe was just something you got used to. "Anyway, I slipped out before they woke up. I'm sure that was a fun scene."

"Oh, I'll bet!" Peyton shook her head. "Poor Sam."

"Well, they looked happy enough when I left them at least," Angela said. "I'm thinking anyone here has had to deal with weirder things."

"Dean will never let Sam live this down," Peyton said with a grin.

"Probably not," Angela agreed. "That's the sort of ammo siblings have got to grab onto, right?" She wouldn't really know, being an only child. But she could imagine.

"I guess," Peyton said. "I've never had any myself, so..."

Liir was drawing a horse. Specifically, a metal horse with a winding knob on the end that looked like the tail.

After she pings in.

Yeah, just running with the theme from last week because ART CRAWL! I meant to get this up earlier, but yay lack of coffee.

Also, I do believe we're still soliciting volunteers for posting the club in the next few weeks?

We have admin approval for Art Crawl! for April 15/16 or April 22/23 -- any preference between those two? It's both Wednesday and Thursday, because weekends this time of year are insane.

And I can post any day no one else volunteers for :-).

Oy, I didn't even think to check with you on that. *facepalm*

NOT ENOUGH CAFFEINE IN THE WORLD TODAY.

Nah, I should have emailed you the update but I just got it this morning.

YAY CAFFEINE.
