Classics students: We are going to wrap up our unit on Hebrew with a review of verbs in the language. Review this handout.

Asian Language Students: We're moving into a study of Cantonese Chinese. We will begin with this exercise in Cantonese greetings and short phrases.

We will be discussing these concepts on Friday as well, and both classes will have a quiz on Monday.

You know, I know you're right, and yet-- I'm still mad. And I have the best friends ever.

Okay, fine, I'm doing it on purpose. You caught me. But, seriously, Buffy? Who names their kid Buffy? So is she one of those always absent roommates? I had one of those, except all these owls kept leaving mail for her. It was freaky.

Nothing's ever any clearer after talking to that man. Honestly. *laughing* I was saying something, but I think you lost track after the combination of "massage oil" and "Jack O'Neill." You know he only wears boxers to sleep, right? Want to spend the night in the room some time?

You're invited. Rory specifically said to bring along anyone I thought would have fun. Now, should we let the info slip to the guys, as they're inevitably going to try to sneak in, or do we let someone else do it? Because they still owe us for when Callisto, Vala, Rory, and Chloe snuck into their MFCD meeting last time.

It would make them notice us, anyway. But they're never going to ditch us. We need them as much as they need us.

I don't know, but I'm very freaked out by that! I should leave Parker a voice mail. We need to think of anti-intruder methods allowed by the school's rules now. Would it be totally paranoid of me to suggest that we set an alarm to go off if the unliving cross the threshhold?

Janet selects another truffle, takes a bite, and looks over her Hebrew while she waits for another note.

No, I get it. I thought more of Daniel Butthead than this. This...makes me sad--for you, but for him, too. He has no idea what he's lost.

I have no idea who names their kid Buffy. Unless we're talking about a goat, but we're not. Either we're on completely opposite schedules or she's staying in town with some guy I think she's dating. After Ethics class, you'll probably know more about her than I do.

Yes, that would be exactly where my train of thought derailed, thanks. And...no, I didn't know that. Hmm. I have a tank top and shorts that might be perfect for the occasion.

Well, then I guess I'll go. I'm not letting any more information slip to anybody for a while, I think. Maybe someone else could let it slip, though.

Being noticed isn't the problem. They seem to have a real issue with following through, though.

Parker and I noticed last night, and she said she'd look into things. I just hope no one in your room was dumb enough to issue an invitation to him. Not that I think anyone there would be, even drunk. No, it's not at all paranoid to me...but maybe I'm not your best judge of that.

Sam passes the note as soon as Professor Dream looks away.

I wish I knew how he got to be such an ass. This is not the guy I fell in love with used to know, and I can't explain what happened to him.

Maybe it's both. Well, after Ethics starts, I'll let you know what she's like.

Perfect. Let me know when you want to sleep over. Actually, I think Jack said something about breaking open his liquor cabinet for another Refugee party this weekend, so you may as well just stay over then.

Okay, if I'm going, you need to go. I think Liz will be there too.

They do, don't they? Why is that? Seriously. Most of the women here aren't exactly averse to serious time with a boyfriend, but the boys...just want to be friends.

Oh, good, someone noticed. I think Aeryn and Jack like him. Something about a zombie weekend aberration where he was good after eating the yearbook food? Doesn't matter. Let's figure out something. He hasn't been invited into your room, has he?

No, he's not the guy I first met on Abydos either. That goofy, excited guy is gone, I think. And it's not Sha're--he was still 'himself' after she died.

Yeah, that would be good. And I can't believe you've got to take a class to find out what my roommate's like. How strange is that?

Oh, if there's a Refugee party, I'm definitely there. I'll bring my pillow and blankie and curl up on the floor. Or, hopefully, someplace a little more comfortable. How's the closet?

Maybe the administration put something in the water. Although, recently, some of them seem to have finally gotten the clue. Here's hoping the clue is contagious.

He was very suave during the conversation I had with him, but you know how ineffective charm is on me. Take, for instance, Exhibit A: O'Neill, Colonel Jack. *laughing* My room? I think my roommate would kill me in my sleep after what happened at the beginning of the school year. So that's a not to my knowledge, just to be clear.

What happened to him? Wait, don't answer. Probably the same thing that happened to the rest of us: life and dying a few times, because that really takes it out of you. Combined with one too many rounds of 'the [insert name of bad thing here] will destroy/take over the planet/galaxy/universe if we don't stop them.' You know, you'd think that would get old after a while. Passe, even.

Actually, I think my taking a class and finding out what your roommate's like is almost normal for here. Which is weird, because it's normal. Hey, were you going to try and sign up for the same section as the rest of us.

How did I know you'd be there? We've got extra pillows and blankets, though, and yes, of course we can find you someplace a little more comfortable. The closet's not bad, but it's better with company.

We can only hope it's contagious. Good luck with that.

He seems charming on the surface, but something about him reminds me of the Goa'uld some very disturbed people I've seen. I think it's the eyes. They're not...right. Wait, what happened at the beginning of the school year?

Really? I'm not sure. One day he was this slightly goofy, clueless archeologist who had a deep and abiding interest in all things human (and alien) and frequently acted as a conscience, the next he was this repressed, bitter, angry man who was almost as uncommunicative as Jack.

It does get old, seriously. Jack and I were talking about that the other night (along with,the memories of him losing his pants (http://www.livejournal.com/users/2ls_in_oneill/521.html?thread=170761#t170761) and the merciless attack penguins of 595 (http://www.livejournal.com/community/fandomhighdorms/165178.html?thread=5407290#t5407290).

I'm not sure I'm going to be able to make the Ethics section--I think I have a class conflict. I'll try, though.

You, Liz, Jack, Charlie, and Aeryn all in one room. How could I not be there? Besides, this way, I don't have to make new friends. *wink*

I'm not sure exactly what happened, but I think there were death threats between him and Buffy, then Professor Sidle somehow got involved, and he managed to spin things so he was the injured party. I do not trust him, Janet. And I trusted Jonas Hansen, so that's really saying something.
