Sex Ed, Friday, First Period

As the students filed in, the observant ones might have noticed a thin scratch along the side of Sam's neck, but he was trying to keep it out of their sight.

"I'm sorry about not being here last week, I had a sudden family thing come up." Meaning a wendigo Dean couldn't manage to kill himself. "Speaking of family things, if anyone has relatives or friends visiting this weekend, and you have particular things you'd like me to say - or not say - if I meet them, just let me know. I'm very convincing, I promise."

With that, Sam handed out a quasi-NSFW pair of handouts to each student, and managed to look casual about it. "One thing I've heard about other classes like this at other kinds of schools is that the students are usually segregated by gender and only learn about their own bodies. That seems kind of childish to me, and also unhelpful, even if you're not planning on being involved with someone of the opposite sex. So, I thought I'd give you a chance to look over this information, and then give you an opportunity to ask each other questions, if there's anything you're really curious about."

He had a feeling this was going to end with him looking embarrassed, but he could still hope to be wrong.

Civics, Friday, September 29, 2017

Today, there was 'Quiz Day' written on the board in an attempt to make things nice and normal for any visitors. And they even had a normal class subject!

"So, this weekend some of you might have people stopping by to see how you're doing here," Tony said, not at all looking concerned about this. Nope.

Steve looked earnestly excited about the possibility, though. Poor, naive Steve. "This way we have some concrete answers to give your guardians, family members or arch-nemeses from a parallel dimension when they ask about your schoolwork."

See? They did this for you! So sweet!

"You can work together for answers," Tony added quickly. "So don't get too worried."

Because pop quizzes did include anxiety. Always.

"We just want to see where you are so far this semester," Steve said, "and what kind of knowledge you might already have on subjects we'll get to later."

Tony nodded along with that encouragingly. "And then you'll get to go enjoy the mixer Student Council planned for you."
