Fandom Trail [Thursday, Fourth Period]

As each student entered the Danger Shop, Oz handed them an envelope with their name on it. Inside, it was she up to resemble an old-fashioned saloon. Oz stood behind the bar, and an empty table with five seats took pride of place in the room.

"Good afternoon, class, and welcome to Fandom Trail, a historical re-enactment where you will travel across the old American Frontier." The frontier as interpreted by Oz, so clearly it was gong to be completely accurate. "Before you can get started on your travels, your party needs to come together, which is why you're in a bar, so you can met, introduce yourselves to each other, and decide to travel together, work out the logistics, what skills everyone brings to the table, how many oxen you'll need for your wagon, all that."

Oz held up a hand. "But to keep in the spirit of the class, instead of introducing yourselves, you are each going to take on a persona for the next few weeks, and you'll be introducing them. Your envelopes contain your names and a few basic details, you can build from there. No swapping."

Library, Friday [07/06]

After hearing about some of the things people had had to deal with in the library lately, Billy was very glad things were quiet when he went in today. He started by putting the returned books back on the shelves, and then sat down at the desk... and discovered every book he'd put back sitting in a pile again.

At least it was still quiet?

Introduction to Robotics, Friday

A classroom full of teenagers. That was going to be... something.

Kaidan stood at the front of the class, a datapad in his hand and his eyes trained on the students. "Good morning," he said, "And welcome to Introduction to Robotics. I'm Lieutenant Commander Kaidan Alenko of the Systems Alliance, I look forward to meeting the rest of you." He cleared his throat. "Over the past year, my... universe--" It was weird, okay? "--suffered under an attack that involved advanced robotic AIs - that's artificial intelligences - called the geth. Much has been said about the geth and what level of sentience they've got. It's something we'll be talking about later down the line."

He put the datapad down on the desk. "But not yet. I'm given to understand most folks here aren't from the same place, though," he said, "and as we're going to be talking about advanced technology, I'd like to know where your worlds are at, and what experience you might have had in dealing with robotics, virtual intelligences, things like that. So let's start off there."

Friday: Study Hall

Another day. Another study hall and yes, more bananas.

Lots of bananas. So much so that Jamie had brought in extra help in the form of an orangutan to help eat the bananas. This brilliant plan of course had backfired and now the orangutan was spending his time throwing bananas at Jamie.

"Watch out for the ape," Jamie grunted as any students walked into the room. "He's a bit surly."

Which earned Jamie another shriek and a banana at his face.

Study hall is open. Don't antagonize the orangutan.

Decision Making Skills, Friday, Period Four

"Good afternoon," Steve said to his assembled students. "I'm Steve Rogers, and that's Mr. Rogers to you, and I'll be your teacher for this term. I'd like to think you've made a good decision already by deciding to take this workshop--unless of course you didn't sign up for it yourself, in which case someone else may have made a good decision on your behalf.

"It's been my experience that introductions are traditional for the first week of classes, so we're going to do that, and then we'll discuss a scenario where some bad decision-making was involved. So, I'd like everyone to state their name, where they're from, and why you decided to take this class." Again with the decisions. They were kind of going to be a theme.
