Library [02/18]

After spending the previous evening drinking, getting into a fight, having quality time in jail, and finding out that Chuck Bass was actually kind of human, Sam was hoping for a quiet day in the library that would be kind to his mild hangover. He was never, ever drinking on a Tuesday night again. Probably.

Sam was upright and present at the desk, but his eyes were closed. It helped the headache, really.

Sam took some time to sort through his e-mail and do some de-cluttering around the desk.

Sam went into the stacks to look for a book to read in the afternoon. Something light was definitely going to be the way to go.

Sam had saved a piece of apple pie from food class yesterday, and was fully prepared to use it as a conversation distraction. Not that there was anything he was going to be trying to keep from Dean, of course.

Sam got settled in at the desk again with a graphic novel, feeling a little more human now that it was later in the day.

Sam took a quick sweep through the library to make sure everything was clean before he had to head out.

*clings to the internet* Don't leave meeeee!

Peter came in at the usual time and with the usual items. "Hey."

"Hey," Sam said, looking especially grateful to see Peter. He hadn't bothered with coffee this morning, so Peter's usual was a lot more necessary to his continued survival.

"Hey," Peter said. He looked Sam over. "You okay?"

"Just tired," Sam said casually, since the hangover wasn't really an issue anymore. "Nothing coffee and donuts and you can't fix."

"I think I happen to have all three," Peter said. He put the coffee and donuts down on the counter. "Tired? Late night?"

"Um, sort of?" Sam said, grabbing the coffee like a lifeline. "Chuck took me out for drinks to repay me for helping him that weekend when everyone went nuts and...we were kind of out for a while."

"Should I be jealous?" Peter asked, teasing.

Peter shouldn't be jealous at all. Peter/Sam/Chuck? YEAH, I THINK THAT'S THE SOLUTION.

"No, no, definitely not," Sam said quickly. "It wasn't anything like that."

"So what'd you do?" Peter asked.

HEY. No giving the evil ones ideas like that!

Dean came in with his usual bag of food for the both of them, took one look at Sammy and stated, "You look horrible."

"Gee, thanks," Sam said, sitting up straighter. "Hello to you too."

"Um, we had drinks, and talked some," Sam said, focusing on the coffee. Good, safe coffee.

"...good?" Peter said, feeling that Sam was leaving out part of the night's events.

"Hey, I just call 'em as I see 'em," Dean said, sitting down. He leaned forward, concern obvious in his expression as he reached over to check to see if Sammy felt hot. "You coming down with something?"

While talking to Dean, it had made sense to try to leave out the bad parts of the night, and Sam had expected that he'd feel the same way when talking to Peter. But for some reason, keeping stuff from him just felt really wrong, and he found himself squirming a little under Peter's gaze.

"Promise me you won't get pissed," he said. "Or laugh at me. I don't really know what to expect."

"Okay?" Peter said. He looked at Sam with concern. "Are you all right?"
