Marshall had been experiencing...technical difficulties in the bedroom the last day or so. Normally that would be cause for panic, anger and a bit of crying in a closet. But Marshall had students to attend to and, goddammit, he wasn't about to cry in front of them. So instead of actually crying he looked a bit grumpy and on edge during the whole class.

In order to keep himself from freaking out too bad he switched up the syllabus a bit and moved one very special class up to today. And that class was all about--

"Pie."

Marshall gestured at the buffet table which was covered in all sorts of pie. Sweet pie. None of that savory stuff. Marshall wanted sugar today, dammit. "Pie is the single most delicious thing on the planet and if you think otherwise? You're wrong. Simple as that."

And right now he would probably fight the person who tried to argue with him about that. You don't want to fight with Marshall. That guy was crazy.

"There all sorts of pies. Fruit pies, chocolate pies, pies with nuts in them, sweet potato pie," Marshall got a dreamy look on his face. "There's pie with meat in them like chicken pot pie and those weird ones with beef in them that English people like. They're all good. Pie is good no matter what way you have it."

"We're sticking to the sweet pies today because I said so," he said a little irritably. He lifted up a cheesecake. "Cheesecake is totally a pie. Wikipedia said. Well, it said it was a tart which is an open-topped pie so there."

There was a long pause.

"Actually, you know what? They're cake. Yep. Cake and you shouldn't eat them because it's pie day. Here, I'll take them off your hands," Marshall said, gathering up the four cheesecakes that were on the table. "Don't you worry, I'll get rid of them."

And by "get rid of them" he meant "sit in the back, eat them and not share". He so wasn't in a sharing mood.

"Eat pie! Don't bother me unless you have to!"

Poor, sexless Marshall.

Viki was, however, more than happy to eat pie.

Especially when it seemed they had no other options.

Dean has pretty much in pie heaven as he heaped a plate full of pieces of as many different pies he could.

Best. Class. Ever.

"Aw... too bad you have to suffer so today," Peyton teased, "Want me to take some of that off of your hands?"

"Try and you'll pull back bloody stumps," Dean said, shielding his plate. "No offense. But it's pie."ddd

She laughed. "Don't worry, I wouldn't dare. I do, however, have a large purse with me should you want to bring some home for later."

"Do you want me to grab extra pie for you?" Sam asked, knowing full well how happy Dean was with this class.

Priestly went for the banana cream. He wasn't even planning to throw it at someone. Just eat it.

. . . three extra laps around the island. She could handle it.

Mmmm, apple pie. Hurley did note the change in the teacher's usual mood, but... dude. Pie.

Firekeeper was more than happy to eat pie, both the savory and sweet kind. Blind Seer snapped up a couple of the beef ones, even though cooked meat was hardly his preference. Free food was free food.

Pie was something Mac could definitely go for, and she decided sampling a little of everything was the way forward.

She could deal with grouchy teacher so long as there was this sort of thing to make up for it.

Cherry pie was her favorite and that was what she was helping herself with. Two pieces. Maybe two extra to take with her. Mmm.

Ned was more than happy to eat the pie. He'd been happier if he could have made it but pie was pie.

Peyton was more than happy to try a few different kinds of pies.

Sam took one piece of fruity pie, and tried to decide if he should grab some to save for Dean.

Claudia looked carefully at the selections and then piled the most unhealthy choices onto her plate.

Mmm. Pie.

Mmm, blueberry pie. And pumpkin pie. And she couldn't resist taking a slice of cherry pie. Hoshi was in heaven.

Summer was all over the pumpkin and lemon meringue pies.

As she'd carefully planned out during the lecture, Molly took a slice of chocolate pie and one of key lime, which it turned out tasted especially good together.

Then she started eyeing the lemon meringue and apple pies and debating the importance of lunch.

Harry was a little disappointed at the cheesecake being taken away. But that was ok.

There was apple pie. And also pecan. And some unfamiliar, but probably equally delicious other pies as well.

Harry kind of wished he could stay in this class forever.

Desserts! Class was covering territory Momoko considered her forte, even if she was more of a cake person than pie. She frowned when the cheesecakes were removed, though. Casting an occasional pout at the empty spaces on the tables, she took her time choosing the four or five pieces of pie that filled her plate.

What? They were smallish pieces!
