Study Hall -- Tuesday, October 11th

Sarah leans back in her chair, a dartboard set on the far wall that she's lazily throwing darts at. Almost every one hits the target -- the ones that don't make her scowl and put her in an even worse mood.

There's a sign set up on the desk that says, "Congratulations to the new student council," but every time one of the winners walks into the room, she gives them a nasty glare. She doesn't trust politicians, no matter how young they might be.

For someone who has lived for decades with Dru, you wouldn't think this question would perplex him. Yet the look on his face is not unlike someone who has just been told that an elephant has given birth to a typewriter.

"I..." Angelus frowns, clearly trying to do the mental math on this, "...don't know. I suppose you could in theory. Never tried it."

One of my friends was curious about the practicalities of a vampire puppy. You know, as a pet.

"Huh," Angelus leaned forward, clearly both curious and perplexed by the problem. "Well - have to train them not to go outside when it's sunny. Guessing keeping a cat in the house wouldn't be a smart idea. On the other hand you can skip the whole spaying and neutering part, so suppose that's a plus."

Uh-huh. *scribbles notes* So d'you think it would wind up like a hellhound, or what?

"Oh no," Angelus assured her. "Hellhounds are much uglier. Smell too. 'bout the only kicker is if dogs have souls, but that sounds more like a question for the philosophers." Angelus frowned, thinking about it. "Guess it could depend on the breed. Can't imagine you'd get the same result from a Doberman that you would from a Cavailer King Charles Spaniel."

*nods, adds 'get a laid-back puppy' to her notes, then 'something small and fluffy?'*

Okay. *looks up at Angelus* Would you do it?

Angelus's mouth gaped. "I - what? Why?"

Well, it's Rory's birthday comin' up, an' I think she really wants a vampire puppy. She was talkin' about it the other night. ~~You'd get to bite a puppy...~~

The look of puzzlement in no way left him. If anything, it got worse.

"Well, Rory," he said, as though weighing pros and cons aloud and putting Rory firmly into the plus column. "I'd have to talk to Logan, though. A guy can't help get his friend's girl a puppy without clearing that first. It's like giving a foot massage."

~~What? And get fur caught in my teeth?~~

Sure, fine. It's supposed to be a surprise, like, so tell him not to tell her.

*Makes alterations to her notes. They now read ~~small and fluffy?~~ squall no basset?*

I think what I'll do is, take up a collection to pay for the puppy an', like, chew toys an' things. The vampifyin' can be your contribution, an' then we all sign a group card.

"I'll swear him to secrecy," Angelus promised. "And - uh, I'll need secrecy. You know, to do it. Vampire code. You know how it is."

No, actually, I don't, but if you say so. Let me know what's the swoo, 'kay?

*glances at watch* Squall, I have to go. Thanks!

"No problem," Angelus said, giving her a wave. He shook his head as he went back to his studies.

(OOC: *snerk* I know have this mental image of Fluffy, Puppye of Angelus, member of the Order of Aurelius.)
