Study Hall -- Tuesday, October 11th

Sarah leans back in her chair, a dartboard set on the far wall that she's lazily throwing darts at. Almost every one hits the target -- the ones that don't make her scowl and put her in an even worse mood.

There's a sign set up on the desk that says, "Congratulations to the new student council," but every time one of the winners walks into the room, she gives them a nasty glare. She doesn't trust politicians, no matter how young they might be.

*Hamlet comes in with his notes from Prof Amidala's class and a mug of re-heated Klaatchian dark roast coffee from yesterday's lifestyle class. He spreads them out and studies for a bit, before pulling out a hot pink bunny plushie out of his trenchcoat. He stares contemplatively at the rabbit.*

Kitty sits down next to Hamlet. "That's an... interesting rabbit," she says.

::Lockheed snorts.::

*Hamlet blinks at the dragon a couple of times, but seeing as he's attending a school with an inter-dimensional locker and a muppet as a cook, decides to accept it. He hopes the dragon doesn't breathe fire like in myths.*

I won it at the carnival on Friday afternoon, and Duo has suggested that we do a "project" with it one day after class.

Say, if you were given the choice between a robot butler and an instrument of destruction, which would you choose?

::Lockheed grins and belches a tiny flame.::

"Hm. I think I'd have to go with 'robot butler'," Kitty says. "Be real handy to have someone around to pick up after me. By the way, I'm Kitty," she adds, offering her hand.

*Backs up with a start at the sight of the flame. He is thankful the dragon appears too small to eat people. Takes Kitty's hand and shakes it.*

Hamlet. I'm in room 603, on the floor with dimensional warping. I'm fortunate at least that my roommate is not that messy, but we do have a good deal of culinary garbage that piles up. Due to an ... investigation a few weeks ago, we no longer eat at the school cafeteria. Perhaps if we had a robot butler that could also be an instrument of destruction?...

*He ponders that. He imagines Mr Canute Mimir Fluffypants serving him snacks and then killing his uncle. The trace of a grin slips across his face.*

::Lockheed flies to a desk nearby and curls up, as if to sleep, but he keeps his eyes open, watching Hamlet.::

Kitty looks a little disturbed at the thought. "Just make sure you have an easy way to shut it down. Too many instruments of destruction have run wild and destroyed way more than their creators intended. And I'm in the East Attic, so if you destroy the 6th floor..." She considers. "Actually, with the dimensional warp thing, I don't know what would happen."

*Hamlet continues talking to Kitty but keeps an eye on Lockheed just in case.

Duo is the one who knows all about electronics; I'm sadly lacking in that domain of knowledge. I'll have to mention that to him when we start on our hot pink Mr Butlertron/Automatated Revenge Machine super combo experiment.

I don't know what the exact conditions of the dimensional warp are, but I do know that almost all of our neighbours on the sixth floor seem to have disappeared. Rosencrantz and Guilderstern, that Wayne fellow, the disreputable group at the end of the hallway, and so on, so Duo and I may have almost 70 empty rooms to chase it through should it spin out of control. I hope that we shouldn't disturb the attic's foundations.
