Library, Friday

Buffy had had kind of a crappy week. There'd been a check this morning: no weird hats on head, no desire to blurt out things like secret identities and the existence of vampire maybe-boyfriends, no more detentions received since yesterday.

Since the answer to all those things was no, she could leave her room and show up in the library today. If anything weird happened, though, she was so out of here.

Buffy was behind the desk, every once in a while patting the top of her head to make sure nothing unexpected had shown up.

Second Period

She'd gotten out a notebook and a pen, all ready to maybe think about what she was going to review for Journalism class. What she started doing was writing out a review of the professor's hair.

Third Period

...Still writing. Look, Buffy wasn't the best student.

What sucked was she couldn't turn it in unless she really wanted that detention.

Lunch

The library was closed, as she needed to get out of here for one class period of the day or she'd go stir crazy.

Fourth Period

By now Buffy had realized she hadn't done any work here at all today.

Eh, why mess with a good thing.

Fifth Period

Hey, nothing horrible had happened all day. So Buffy's mood had improved a lot as she tapped out a beat on the desk with her pen and waited till it was time to go.
