Coffee and snacks are near the back. Sign the roster and if you have not turned in a permission slip, signed by either a guardian or yourself, please do so. Those who do not go on the field trip will be required to write a 5 page research report on the different rates of decomposition in the human body. Emphasis will be placed on noting which variables affect those rates.

As for today, all we are doing is going over the necessary equipment and rules of conduct for the trip.

-Wear old clothes and sturdy shoes.
-Do not touch anything.
-Walk only in designated areas.
-Practical jokes will be punished by detention.

I will dispense bottles of decomp formula after class.

"aw no I didnt do to much." Blushing Maia watches Sara for a moment but looks down at her paper before Sara looks up at her. "Happy Birthday. Did you get the gift I sent?" Maia's voice is low, the last thing she needs is Sara's attention on her.

Phoebe looks at her with a smile. "Thank you, it's gorgeous."

Maia nods quickly while watching Sara again while she is not facing them. Maia downcasts her eyes to her notebook, breathing the way Tara showed her, tears start to sting at her eyes but she does not let them fall. She is drawing on the top of her notepaper, a little rose, in the corner of her notes. She blinks quickly and a tear falls smudging the ink.

Phoebe notices this and hugs her friend, wishing she could make everything better.
