After a suitable period of mingling and waiting for people, Sokka flipped off the lights and started a recording of "She Blinded Me with Science".

"Ladies and gentlemen," he told the darkened room in a suitably dramatic voice, "SCIENCE!!!"

He poured the contents of one beaker into another, causing it to glow.

By the light of the beaker, he looked at the assembled crowd. "Welcome to Science! Club! I hope you're all ready to do some SCIENCE! Over the next few weeks, I'll talk at you some, and we'll do projects, and stuff. Maybe robots. If there's anything science-y that you guys particularly like, you're more than welcome to take over the club for a week or two. It's sort of free-for-all science. Democratic science."

He turned the lights back on. "So, uh. We should probably do the whole introductions thing. I'm Sokka, resident genius, and I'll be your host. I like romantic dinners, long walks on the beach, and real, ACTUAL science, the kind you guys call 'Newtonian physics'. Our adviser is Dr. Jones, and he's an actual science... person. I forget what kind of science, but I'm sure it's AWESOME. So... Your turns!"

Rikku sighed. It was neat and all, she just kinda thought there'd be more explosions.

"I'm Ender Wiggin," he volunteered. "I like anything related to engineering-- astrophysics, especially. It's interesting."

He was being deliberately bland again.

"Uh-huh, uh-huh," Sokka replied, nodding like he knew what was going on. "So... how is astrophysics different from astronomy, again?"

"Astronomy just studies bodies in space," Ender explained. "Astrophysics is physics as applied to space. Kind of important to know the natural laws if you're building a spaceship."

"I'm Naomi Wildman," Naomi said, "uh...I like all kinds of science, especially astronomy and astrophysics,"

"...You're from space, aren't you."

Naomi nodded, "I am, I grew up on a Starship," she said.

"I'm Rikku," she bounced. "My favorite kind of science is chemistry. Especially the explosive types. I can totally run the club while you slack off. Aaaaaaaand my favorite color is orange. You didn't ask that one, but it's important."

"You know, Orangey," Sokka told her, leaning in to stage-whisper. "Anyone who didn't know that is BLIND."

The esteemed Dr. Henry Jones, Jr.

That would be Indiana Jones. There is no Henry.

So the world doesn't end.
