Always excited for another semester of YA, Turtle had the classroom all set up for the meeting, desks pushed together into a long sort of business table. Donuts, coffee, and hot chocolate for available for snacking, and the table was littered with arts and crafty stuff: paper, scissors, markers, colored pencils, stickers, and glitter. Somehow, there was always glitter, even when Turtle went out of her way to not include glitter. Go figure.

Either way, Turtle sat at the end of the table, waiting for everyone to get there, and then she went into her introductory schpiel. "Welcome to this semester's meeting of Young Entrepreneurs! I'm sure you all know me; I'm Turtle Wexler. I started this club forever ago, and am a young entrepreneur myself, as I co-own Turtle & Canary here on Fandom Island and soon to be in London!" There was a small bounce for that. "But, anyway, you all might not know each other and, even if you do, re-introductions still aren't a bad idea. For our first meeting, we're just going to make some very simple, fun, clearly not-official --that comes later-- business cards that represent who we are and why we're here. Take a piece of paper, cut out a nice size for a card, and then put on it anything you think might represent you as a member of YA, and then we'll go around and talk about it! But, remember, one of the key points about being an entrepreneur is that you know how to sell yourself! Sell us on your introduction on why we should be interested in you."

Present your business card, introduce yourself, and talk about how it represents what you're all about.

Really, there's no sense in Mister Deadpool advising this anymore except that it's merely tradition.

Leto Atreides

Mercenary work was just another form of selling yourself! Seeee? It worked.

Turtle, of course, already had business cards, but that wasn't the point of the activity. So she set to work, hording a lot of the green colors, and trying to make her penmanship the neatest it could possibly be.

And part of being an entrepreneur was still making small talk with people you were still awkward Turtle with, so Turtle took a stab. "Thanks again, Mister Deadpool," she said with a nod, "for advising."

Ned business card turned out a little lopsided but he ignored it or, at least, tried to cover it by bordering the card with a bright red and sticking little stars on each corner.

He drew a small, brown pie in the middle and then slanted his name over the top of it.

It was gaudy but it was noticeable. Ned thought it'd be eye catching, at least.

"This is my business card," he said, showing off what he'd made. "And, like the card says, my name's Ned and I sort of bake pies a lot. Most people know that, some don't. But, it's like my own really special talent. So, there's a pie in the middle of the card and it's bordered red because that's bright and eye catching. And can represent strawberries which can go in pies."

Ned was all about the pie.

"Like I could say no," Deadpool said, shaking his head. "It's like I should be playing a fiddle and singing about tradition."

Turtle held out her business card, which looked almost exactly like a handmade version of the professional one in her back pocket right now. Dark green border, very simple print, a little emblem of a Turtle and a Canary in the corner.

"I'm T.R. Wexler, and it's very nice to meet you all. This is my card, which has all the information needed to contact me about my business, Turtle & Canary, which specialized in great prices for almost anything you could need. It's simple. It's clean. It's smart. In a nutshell, it's me."

She finished with a very winning smile before nodding and sitting down.

Funny how this never got old for her.

Leto had never had a business card - there was no need for that. He spent a long time staring at the materials at hand, and then he chose a bright while piece of paper and picked a black pen, writing 'Leto Atreides II' across it in neat, precise handwriting.

"Red," Turtle informed Ned with a little bit of a grin, "is also a color that's said to induce subconscious hunger in people, so nice choice! It's good to have you back in the club, Ned."

Even if she was left wondering if that whole phone call about her in her underwear was just the phones messing up or something else entirely.

"...What does a fiddle have to do with anything?"

"Oh, yeah?" He peered at the card for a moment, trying to see if he'd get hungry. Well, he was hungry but he might have come to the club hungry. He didn't know. "So, I should use red things more often. And have pies around."

Poor Ned was in repression mode. Maybe yesterday was a dream. Dreaaaaaaaam.

Leto held up his attempt at a business card. "I am Leto Atreides," he said, "And what I will be is still unknown."

"...Fiddler on the Roof? C'mon! It's a classic!"

"It's always good to have pies around," Turtle agreed, with a bobbing head. She was happy for that in; she wanted to say something, but didn't want to get annoying, what with how she badgered Ned for pies at the fair, too.

"Nope," she added, for good measure, "can never have too many pies around."

Turtle gave a faint sort of smile, trying to not think of birds and pants.

Which, subsequently, only made her think about them, which only made her blush slightly through her well-polished veneer of professionalism.

"Work in progress, huh?" she guessed.

"I can bring some next time," he volunteered easily. "A few. I need to start baking more anyway."

Turtle just looked at Mister Deadpool for a moment.

"But we're not on a roof," she pointed out, if only because him mentioning that only made her think about how often her dad annoyed her by singing those damn songs. Urg.

"That doesn't make it any less of a classic," Deadpool pointed out.
